A fantastic opportunity has become available within the fundraising function of Alzheimer Scotland to work as part of the Stakeholder Engagement team to deliver significant income from a variety of different income streams and sustain our mission to ensure nobody faces dementia alone.
The Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator will report to the Head of Stakeholder Engagement but will have specific responsibilities to deliver on key projects areas. This is a portfolio fundraising role, so you will be comfortable with working across different fundraising disciplines such as, but not exclusive to, events & campaigns, digital and community fundraising. Experience of all these disciplines is not essential – we are looking for people with transferable skills who can learn quickly and work on projects with teams from other parts of the organisation.
Whilst the role will support all income streams associated with the team, we are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has prior events & campaigns experience or developing digital fundraising initiatives, to bolster these areas of interest for the charity.
In the Stakeholder Engagement Team, we believe no monetary ask should be made, until a meaningful supportive relationship is established, and so your fundraising experience will be stretched to new limits to ensure all fundraising engagement activity leads with a story, along with an emotive and meaningful exchange. You will understand the need to move away from transactional fundraising and be able to help us secure and develop supporter led strategic partnerships, whilst supporting the overall team to embed this approach throughout the organisation, particularly amongst our locality colleagues.
We are looking for someone who is naturally optimistic, with a can-do attitude. Applicants are required to demonstrate results, whilst thriving within a fast-paced and varied environment. You will be comfortable working independently, a self-starter, who enjoys creative thinking and building meaningful relationships. Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia, along with excellent communication skills and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn and participate in training, will also be expected.
In return we offer a fantastic range of benefits along with a supportive approach to work life balance.
