Role
Erskine is a high impact social care organisation which is seeking suitable applicants for the post of Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (FPA Manager).
As Erskine begins evolves in response to the unmet needs of Veterans in Scotland, the organisation is expanding its finance function, with a FPA Manager to lead financial planning and analysis activities across all of our operations. You will be a key member of the Senior Management Team based in our Bishopton Head office (and optionally, from home on a hybrid basis) supporting Management to make key decisions which are facing the organisation.
Your new role
Reporting to the Director of Strategic (Finance and Business) Planning, the post is responsible for developing the financial and operational information which is needed for the organisation to make key decisions.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Financial planning - Create and develop complex financial models which will address the impact of potential operational decisions and strategic initiatives (including Annual budget and Workforce planning)
- Efficiencies - Work closely with the DSFBP to design and implement program of optimisation and efficiencies
- Financial reporting and forecasting system – Working closely with the existing finance team including the Head of Finance, lead on the design and implementation of a system of financial reporting for budget monitoring and forecasting.
- Financial forecasting - Lead on the quarterly forecasting processes for allocated business units, including providing analysis and commentary for the Executive and Senior Management Teams.
- Key performance indicators - Support development of KPI reporting processes and procedures, alongside reporting and analysis of key trends.
- Communication – Ensuring the wider organisation has a solid understanding of the financial objectives and the challenges and risks connected to these objectives through engagement with Budget holders, Managers and Directors.
What you’ll need to succeed
If you are energetic and commercially focused, hold a professional accountancy qualification and are looking for career progression, this could be the position for you.
Essential skills & experience required
- Hold a professional accountancy qualification – CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong and confident communicator, with ability to engage with Senior Management and key stakeholders.
It would be desirable, but not essential, that candidates have experience of working with Budgeting or forecasting software (Vena / Planful or equivalent).

Milton Community Garden Manager

The Milton Community Garden Manager will lead the development and delivery of a thriving, community-led garden that improves local health and wellbeing, strengthens community relationships, and increases access to nature. The role will oversee staff, community-led programmes and the garden’s facilities and grounds to ensure the garden supports key outcomes of the National Lottery Community Action Fund.
The postholder will support the garden’s therapeutic, educational and environmental programmes; increase community participation; deliver community meals and activities in collaboration with the Milton Food Hub; and develop the garden as a sustainable asset, including preparing the site for future venue hire and income generation. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility for operational management, partnership development, and community-led working.
Total of 18 hours per week, at salary £30102 (pro rata £15481) + 25 days Annual Leave & 12 Public Holidays pro rata + 7% pension contribution. Funding is in place until 31 July 2028, subject to annual funding review and required reports.

About the role
As the Registered Manager, you will be an experienced leader leading a team working with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.

- Support the senior management team in the streamlining, promotion and monitoring of quality assurance systems which meets the needs of individual services as well as the overall service delivery in the region.
- Develop, monitor and implement supervision and appraisal systems for staff.
About You

You should also have:
- Experience of working with vulnerable people and leading a service delivery team, including managing the provision of a safe operating environment in a relevant context.

- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise your own time and workload to meet a number of different and competing tasks in sometimes pressurised environment.

Your new opportunity
We are currently recruiting a Director of Finance & Corporate Services to join our well-established Executive Team. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will direct Quarriers’ finance, IT and property services. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our £60m budget, including financial reporting and planning, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
A key part of the role will include reporting to the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive, offering strategic advice and solutions on all finance and corporate services matters, and to support the Board in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
