Role

Victim Support Scotland – Empowering People Affected by Crime. We put victims and witnesses at the heart of everything we do so they are heard, have improved health and well-being, feel safer, more secure, and informed and that we are an effective organisation, that makes a lasting difference.

What is the role

This is a key role within Victim Support Scotland providing invaluable support to our service delivery teams.

Reporting directly to a Locality Manager or Head of Service, you will be deployed to work within service delivery teams throughout a regional area to ensure consistent staffing coverage on an as and when required basis.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating & deploying teams of volunteers to ensure delivery of high-quality support within community & court environments for our service user, to ensure that the service delivered meets the desired outcomes of victims and witnesses of crime.

While carrying out this role, you will be expected to be highly flexible, working with Locality teams to cover services across Central Scotland & Fife.

Within your first weeks you will be required to attend Induction, Training & Development sessions to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to be successful in the role. You will be paid for your time while attending these sessions. Refresher sessions may be required to be undertaken if there are long gaps in between accepted assignments.

Assignments will be offered to you on a sessional basis, and you are entitled to accept or decline them – once accepted, they form part of your agreement with Victim Support Scotland.
