Our travel clinic is based at Carberry near Edinburgh and is open 3 days per week (currently Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday). Regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland, we provide individual tailored travel health consultations, travel health advice and vaccinations to clients travelling for both work and leisure. Our clients consist of mission and humanitarian agencies and their personnel, GAP year organisations, those in church leadership, families, young people as well as members of the general public.

About the role

We’re looking for a new Travel Clinic Administrator to join our team. The role The role is part time (22.5 hours per week to be worked over Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays from 08:30am – 4.30pm) and based in our Carberry travel clinic. A varied and interesting opportunity, the role will see you handling all stages of a client’s booking – from responding to an initial enquiry, arranging clinic appointments through to invoicing and taking payments. Additional responsibilities include liaison with agency and corporate clients, ordering of clinic supplies and ensuring client records on our clinical software. A strong candidate will have opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and to develop within the role.

Bringing demonstrable previous relevant experience, you’ll have excellent communication skills and will be excited to contribute to HealthLink360’s vision and mission. Computer literacy is essential and you’ll be able to work on your own initiative without close supervision, as part of a small team. You’ll be self-motivated and innovative, will have attention to detail and good organisational and time-management skills. And of course, you’ll be willing to work under our Christian ethos and values of care, compassion, stewardship, service and respect.

Assist the Legacy Administration Team Leader by playing a pivotal role within the Legacy Administration Team, managing a diverse and active caseload of specific, residuary, and reversionary bequests.

Ensure the protection and maximisation of legacy income for Marie Curie by adhering to best practices and maintaining effective and sensitive communication with solicitors and personal executors, enhancing the charity's reputation.

The Legacy Administration Team plays a crucial role in generating income for the charity, working closely with marketing and local legacy fundraising partners. We promote personal development through ongoing training and collaboration across the Directorate and organisation.

We do not necessarily expect the successful candidate to have experience across all UK jurisdictions as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of specific, residuary, and reversionary legacies across the UK.
• Ensure Marie Curie receives its full entitlement in accordance with legal requirements, Wills, and settlements.
• Handle correspondence promptly, meeting internal service level agreements, and update case files accordingly.
• Liaise with other charities and act as lead charity when needed.
• Record and update legacy information in the FirstClass 4 database.
• Regularly review open cases, ensuring timely action to conclude them.
• Scrutinise estate accounts, ensuring correct administration and tax exemptions are applied.
• Obtain tax deduction certificates where cost-effective.
• Allocate legacies to restricted or unrestricted funds as per the Will.
• Comply with Law Society guidelines on Non-Contentious costs.
• Protect Marie Curie’s interests in shared estates and lead charity discussions when appropriate.
• Represent Marie Curie in all correspondence with legal professionals and the public.
• Identify opportunities to increase the value of bequests and proactively manage asset sales.
• Recognise risks or disputes affecting entitlement and escalate as necessary.
• Collaborate with Legacy Marketing and Local Legacy teams and contribute to stewardship plans.

The Corporate Partnerships team are moving through a period of change and growth which will set this team up to strategically focus their resources and skill where it is most needed in order to attract, cultivate and retain valuable corporate partnerships.

Reporting to the Partnership Account Manager, the Partnership Executive will be involved in maintaining existing supporter relationships through the Corporate Fundraising journey, ensuring all possible opportunities for revenue generation are utilised.

• Experience of working in account management in either a fundraising or commercial environment.
• Experience of achieving and exceeding income targets or growing income.
• The ability to seek out, identify and build on opportunities to maximise income.

• Excellent communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of varied audiences.
• Driven and engaging personality with strong people skills.
