Role

Role Purpose:

This role will focus on delivering the TACT mission of ‘delivering programmes and projects that make a difference to people’s lives by encouraging, supporting and promoting community action’. The Project Coordinator role is multifaceted and involves having a wide range of skills. We are looking for a resilient, flexible individual who likes working with people and has a ‘can do’ attitude. It is essential that you have the ability to build respectful, honest and trusted relationships with the beneficiaries, volunteers and our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the ongoing development of Kindness Krew in accordance with its vision;
  • Ensure Kindness Krew targets are met and delivered successfully;
  • Effectively manage a portfolio of casework with competing demands and produce a quarterly report to your Line Manager;
  • Contribute to the organisation’s website, bulletins, newsletters and other publications to promote the Kindness Krew Project;
  • Take personal responsibility for contributing to high quality standards in customer relations, service delivery and communications;
  • Work with colleagues to implement systems for measuring, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of our approaches;
  • Actively seek opportunities for the ongoing development of the Kindness Krew in accordance with its vision and strategic direction.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide initial training for volunteers and ensure any additional training needs of volunteers are met;
  • Carry out assessment for all suitable referrals involved in the Kindness Krew;
  • Supervise and support pairings between beneficiaries and volunteers;
  • Ensure feedback is received from both volunteers and beneficiaries after every interaction;
  • Liaise with referring partners i.e. Services Access Team and Community Link Workers and attend any inter-agency meetings where necessary;
  • Liaise with specialists to gain advice, support and provision of the most appropriate services for individuals involved in the Kindness Krew;
  • Manage a caseload of referrals and volunteers;
  • Ensure that the agreed outcomes in each assessment and plan are being met and delivered successfully;
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records of work undertaken on internal project spreadsheet and MILO database;
  • Participate in regular monitoring and evaluation of the project;
  • Work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of the project;
  • Attend and contribute to regular supervision sessions and team meetings, providing updates;
  • Assist monitoring of budgets/financial reporting where appropriate and follow financial procedures;
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the project;
  • Liaise with funders and participate in funding applications and reports where appropriate;
  • Carry out the duties of the post with regard to TACT policies and procedures and a clear understanding of both Child Protection and Adult Protection policy and procedures;
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager;
  • Act in a professional and respectful manner which reflects our Code of Conduct.

Additional Duties

  • Protect and enhance the organisation’s public reputation when speaking on its behalf.
  • Maintain accountability for your continuous professional development by identifying personal training needs which will increase performance and are relevant to responsibilities and discuss with your Line Manager.
  • Work within the framework of TACT’s ethos and policies as described in our code of conduct.

Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
