Role
At St Andrews Links Trust we are looking to welcome appoint a new member to our Board of Trustees (Board). We are looking for someone with passion, energy, commitment, and vision. This is an exciting time to join the St Andrews Links Trust as we will celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2024.
About the Board of Trustees
Our Board ensures we are effective in working towards the achievement of the Trust vision, and harnessing our resources to maximum effect and upholding our values.
As a member of the Board you will be an ambassador for the Trust and promote the reputation, vision and purpose of the organisation. You will work with your fellow trustees to ensure the organisation complies with its governing documents, relevant legislation, and regulatory requirements.
As a Trustee, some typical tasks may include:
- Determining the overall strategic direction and development of the organisation, by agreeing organisational polices, budgets and objectives, and ensuring targets are set and performance is measured against such targets.
- Ensuring the effective and efficient administration and stewardship of the organisation including its financial stability.
- Contributing specific skills, knowledge, or experience to help the board of trustees reach sound decisions.
- Leading or being a member of committees as requested by the Chair.
Person specification
Candidates must have:
- The ability to think strategically and to contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation.
- A proven record of using good, independent judgement in effective decision making.
- Experience of operating within a board or committee structure in a charitable, public sector or commercial organisation.
- An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship.
- Passion and commitment for the work of the St Andrews Links Trust.
It is desirable for candidates to have skills and experience in any of the following areas:
- Experience as a charity trustee;
- The management and supervision of major projects (particularly capital projects);
- Marketing/ Digital Marketing;
- Sustainability;
- Diversity;
- Community relations;
- Tourism strategy.
The Trust would welcome applications from all sections of society and in particular from women, LGBT+ people, young people, disabled people and those from minority ethnic communities.
Commitment
Board meetings are usually held up to six times a year, with Board papers circulated seven days ahead. There is at least one strategy day each year. Meetings take place at St Andrews Links Trust, Pilmour House, St Andrews, KY16 9SF, and trustees are expected to attend in person.
You are also expected to be a Director of one or more of The Trust’s subsidiary companies and to be a committee member of up to three committees. This requires a commitment of an additional 12-14 meetings per year. An illustrative copy of an annual Meeting Programme will be provided to interested candidates.
Outside board board and committee meetings, employees may seek to consult Trustees on particular subjects.

Women on Wheels, a Glasgow based community cycling hub for women and non-binary people, is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator. Our purpose is to encourage and facilitate women & non binary people in the community to get back on a bike or to cycle for the first time. Our programmes are designed and led by women and
non-binary people, focusing on a range of cycling & social activities.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to deliver on two exciting new projects: a Teen programme and a Volunteer programme. As these are new projects, this is a fixed term post for 12 months, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and qualified Cycle Trainer and a self-starter who is able to establish effective relationships with a range of external stakeholders and take accountability for the success of the two new programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the successful establishment and delivery of the Volunteer programme and the new Teen programme. The role involves:
● Overseeing the day-to-day running of operations related to their programmes.
● Recruiting, developing and supporting a team of volunteers.
● Ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of the volunteer and teen programmes.
● Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
● Monitoring and reporting on the programmes’ progress and performance.
● Reporting to the Project Manager.

members, seasonal workers and volunteers.

This post is for 2 days per week, worked flexibly, and is based at the Women on Wheels Hub, Govanhill Workspace, Unit 4, 69 Dixon Road, Glasgow, G42 8AT. It is expected
that the post holder will work in the Hub (or be delivering sessions offsite) two days per week to align with the staff team.

We are looking for someone to join our Corporate Services team: the Finance Assistant is responsible for ensuring all financial processes are executed to an extremely high standard. The ideal candidate will bring experience of processing financial transactions using Sage or similar, and be a friendly and motivated self-starter with good communication skills.
Based in our Glasgow office, this is a part-time post of between 2-3 days. We are currently operating a hybrid working policy with a minimum of one day per week in the office. This position is a 24-month Fixed-Term Contract initially with the potential to become permanent.

Providing professional support to the After School Club Practitioners, support staff and students to deliver a flexible, high quality childcare service.

Must have HNC/SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children & Young People) or equivalent. Registration with or eligibility to register with SSSC. PVG Membership for Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults or willingness to obtain prior to formal offer of employment being made.
