Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to use their skills to encourage and support Presbytery, its committees and congregations through the current change programme, and to ensure the effective implementation within congregations of the decisions in the 2023 Presbytery Mission Plan. More generally, the postholder will work closely with the Presbytery Clerk, sharing committee responsibilities as appropriate and deputising during absences. Flexibility, creativity and a willingness to share and experiment will all be vital. It is expected that the postholder will travel extensively throughout the Presbytery.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the Church of Scotland, it’s life and work, structures, procedures, polices and law. They will also have an understanding of the role of presbyteries and their operational practices as well as having highly developed interpersonal skills and a talent for effective communication.
