Dean and Cauvin Young People’s Trust is one of Edinburgh’s oldest and established charities, providing residential group living and community, family and group work support to children, young people and families. We provide a scaffolding of love and support around them as they take their first steps towards a confident and independent future.

Role:

We are currently looking to recruit a Night Awake Worker based at our 5- bed residential home that provides accommodation to young people. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a positive and flexible attitude and will actively promote equality, diversity, anti-discriminatory and non-judgemental practice. They will always have a clear understanding of the nature and limits of the work role and a clear awareness of the power imbalance when working with Looked After and Accommodated Young People and work to protect them from harm and abuse.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The minimum educational requirement for this post is HNC/SVQ level 3 (SCQF level 7) or other relevant qualification recognised by SSSC for registration purposes.
