The Salvation Army in Edinburgh provides support for people who are experiencing homelessness and have multiple and complex needs. Our role is to provide a safe place to stay and access support. The service delivery model is rooted in the harm reduction approach, based on trauma informed practice, strength based and person-centred approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of support to homeless clients with complex needs
  • Work with clients as part of person-centred support planning which includes aiding access a range of meaningful activities
  • Work with clients as part of the Support Team assisting to ensure the needs and actions within person centred plans are addressed in a professional manner

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

  • Motivation towards supporting homeless individuals to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes
  • Good customer service and time management skills with ability to prioritise workload
  • The ability to form positive, supportive and motivating relationships
  • Able to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army
  • Willingness to work towards registration qualification for SSSC Registration
