A new and exciting opportunity to work with us and make a difference to people’s travel choices by developing infrastructure projects, making it easier for sustainable and active travel.
As the NCN (National Cycle Network) Project Pipeline Coordinator you will turn ideas into deliverable projects. You will work closely with partners to grow the National Cycle Network across Scotland and transform it into the country’s Strategic Active Travel Network. With ongoing support from the Planning Manager and in close collaboration with Planning coordinators, you will use the Sustrans’ Delivery Framework to develop a pipeline of infrastructure projects across Scotland.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as local authorities and other statutory agencies and work with other third parties including third sector organisations.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
You should have experience of working within transport, construction, or a related sector. Ideally you will have experience of working with contractors and consultants. You will also be experienced of project management and delivery.
We would like you to have the ability to analyse and critique reports written by others, and the ability to build relationships with project partners, community groups and the general public and other key individuals. You will also be able to interpret and manipulate data using GIS (Geographical Information Systems) or a willingness to learn.
We ask you demonstrate your knowledge of local and regional transport planning authorities and processes within Scotland, and have the knowledge of transport and active travel, infrastructure, delivery and best practice.
