Role

At Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home, love has no limits. We give our all to keep pets where they belong - with their families. When that’s not possible, we take them in and love them as if they’re our own. Our mission is to protect loving homes, find loving homes and run a loving Home.

Our team of dedicated dog-and-cat-lovers is growing, and we are delighted to be recruiting a Community and Events Fundraiser. You will work with the Fundraising and Community team who help to generate the £3 million required every year to run Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.

The purpose of this role is to lead the organisation of our community fundraising and cultivation events, such as our flagship fundraising dinner and annual open day, in addition to growing and maximising income from supporter-led community fundraising, from individuals, groups and organisations.

At Edinburgh Dog and Cat home, we are lucky to be supported by a great community of rehomers, donors and volunteers, with whom we aim to engage through our events portfolio. With a background in innovative and exciting events, the person in this role will deliver income and awareness generating events, on time, within budget, and in a way that aligns with our fundraising and charity strategies.

If you thrive in a team environment, enjoy an energetic, dynamic, and supportive working atmosphere, and have empathy for animal welfare and tackling pet poverty, this could be the role for you!
