You will provide effective support to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and the Board of Trustees by managing logistics for meetings and ensuring effective monitoring and compliance with all relevant legal requirements and returns. You will assist the CEO in managing their schedule and workload while also providing administrative support to the senior leadership team with a variety of meetings and projects.
You will have experience in a similar complex senior administrative role and will have excellent listening and written communication skills as well as meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. You will be self-motivated, capable of working autonomously, and thrive equally well as a collaborative team member.

We are seeking passionate individuals with a commitment to animal welfare to join our Kennel and Cattery team as a Kennel Assistant at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.
The Home has been a safe haven to stray animals since 1883, and still rescues over a thousand lost or abandoned dogs and cats every year. The Home benefits from skills and experience of our 50+ strong staff, comprised of long-serving kennel and cattery experts and enthusiastic new talent. As a Kennel Assistant you'll work to the Home's code of practice and Health and Safety guidelines, to provide exemplary daily care for the dogs and cats and educate potential new owners and the general public in the care and welfare of their animals, establishing excellent customer relations for the centre.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for generating income for the Home through supporting with the running of Individual Giving income streams. You will work with the Senior Individual Giving Officer and Legacy & Individual Giving Manager to promote all income streams through excellent stewardship, campaigns, appeals and general marketing activities. A key part of this will be engaging with and stewarding supporters through telephone campaigns and by building and maintaining a great supporter journey. Aiding the retention and recruitment of supporters to the Home.
We are looking for someone who has experience in a telephone fundraising and/or marketing environment, as well as experience of donor or customer stewardship and engagement. You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, good research skills and be able to build and maintain strong relationships.

You will work with the Cryptocurrency and Digital Fundraising Manager and the Director of Income and Engagement by supporting the development and delivery of the Home’s digital fundraising strategy and making recommendations as appropriate.
As a digital fundraiser, you’ll lead our mass participation Facebook fundraising challenges, drive recruitment for in-person fundraising events such as Kiltwalks and marathons, and support participant fundraising activities. Additionally, you’ll manage e-commerce initiatives such as developing an online shop and the role will also oversee online advertising on behalf of fundraising colleagues within the department.
You will have a digital marketing or fundraising qualification or relevant experience in a similar role. You will be experienced in using social media and other digital channels to generate fundraising income, have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate a hands-on and proactive approach.

You will also oversee the Home’s digital marketing, advertising, and engagement as well as our brand, messaging, campaigns, and promotions.

We are looking for an experienced and tenacious fundraising professional to lead on income generation from corporates, major donors and charitable trusts, whilst providing leadership and oversight of the Home’s fundraising events and community fundraising activity.
Using your knowledge of the corporate fundraising sector you will develop a pipeline of prospect support and deliver on imaginative and engaging partnerships to secure income for the Home.
With strong all-round communication and writing skills you will develop and deliver presentations, write solid cases for support and applications. Using your relationship management skills, you will bring corporate partners, individual donors and charitable trusts on a memorable supporter journey to ensure future support.

We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator that will be the driving force behind the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home’s volunteering activity, promoting innovative and effective volunteering initiatives which support the Home’s wider strategy.
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the volunteer programme including recruitment, training and ongoing support and development across the organisation. To promote, coordinate and develop the Home’s volunteering programme which involves supporting a range of functions including fundraising events, business support and community engagement. As part of the Community team, the individual will be able to represent the organisation both internally and externally.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a Volunteer Coordinator position. Will be someone that has strong communication skills, ability to effectively plan and organise own work load and coordinate other resource to meet deadlines. Excellent team working skills with an enthusiastic and positive approach to overcoming challenges and getting others involved in the volunteer programme. A high degree of personal motivation and a willingness to learn new skills, taking on challenges and undertake relevant training is essential.
The role of Community Engagement Manager will be the driving force behind our community outreach strategy, utilising our volunteering and education programmes to expand our outreach into the wider community and support we provide for pet owners in crisis. They will be the face of the Home in the community, working with new and existing partners to support pets and their owners across the community.
They will direct our volunteering function to support this strategy as well as to support our core mission and functions. They will engage our education programme to continue to raise awareness on animal welfare issues but also support responsible pet ownership and give owners the tools to care for their pets in their own home.

The Home is a voice and a place of safety for dogs and cats in need. We provide love, care, rehabilitation and more often than not a forever home. But where there’s a pet in crisis, there’s a person in crisis and at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home we look at the whole animal and their story. Our Community outreach strategy aims to identify methods of supporting pets and their owners, keeping pets in their homes where possible, and supporting recovery for a person in crisis by helping to look after their pet. This can be done by expanding our Paws Pantry pet foodbanks to provide food, educating and supporting pet owners to help them care for their pets and make good decisions around their care as well as establishing partnerships and working in collaboration with other charities and community groups.
