Role

Partners in Advocacy is one of the largest providers of independent advocacy in Scotland, delivering high quality advocacy services since 1998.

Two exciting opportunities have arisen within our supportive and friendly Children’s Hearing Service. The advocacy worker role will provide high quality, 1:1 independent advocacy for children and young people (aged 5-18) to ensure that their views and wishes are heard, and they are able to make informed choices so that they have influence over decisions which affect their lives. Independent advocacy is provided in various settings, including in the community, schools, people’s homes, and Children’s Hearings settings.

The post-holders will adhere to the SIAA Independent Advocacy Principles, Standards and Code of Best Practice. Full induction and training will be provided to the successful candidate. The post-holders will be joining Partners in Advocacy and working as part of a team of highly skilled and experienced independent advocacy workers.

One post will be working from home and Glasgow office, with travel to East Renfrewshire, West Dunbartonshire, Inverclyde and East Dunbartonshire.

The other with be working from home and Glasgow office, with travel to South Lanarkshire and Scotland central belt.
