Scotland’s pioneering string orchestra, Scottish Ensemble, seeks Trustees
Scottish Ensemble (SE), known for its sector-leading innovation, is one of the UK’s most adventurous musical ensembles. Continually challenging perceptions as to what classical music performances can look and feel like, its visually-striking productions and exceptionally versatile and skilled musicians captivate audiences across Scotland and the world...live and online.
In addition to ground-breaking performances across the length and breadth of Scotland, SE also delivers talent development programmes and a burgeoning Music for Wellbeing programme. Connecting with healthcare and education partners across the country, this initiative grew out of a multi-year partnership with Maggie’s Centres.
The organisation is currently seeking multiple new Trustees to help it develop and realise a resilient and bold future plan, as it prepares for its next major application to principal funder, Creative Scotland.
Skills in marketing/branding; philanthropy; financial strategy; and corporate governance are particularly desirable.
The Board is also seeking to ensure it reflects the diversity of contemporary Scotland, and of SE's audiences; not all positions require previous board experience, and a full induction and training plan will be offered to all incoming Trustees.

The Head of Programme and Creative Development will work alongside the Head of Corporate Services under the guidance of the Chief Executive to lead and inspire both the staff team and the community of children and young people.

We are currently looking for a Community Programme Manager to join our team.
Working with the team at The Hidden Gardens and other partners to develop and manage programmes which address the key outcomes of the organisation relating to improved health and wellbeing, skills and learning, social connections, creativity, nature and the environment.
This is a dynamic role directly engaging with the local community, online audiences, partner organisations, tutors and facilitators to deliver a meaningful and vibrant programme.
The Hidden Gardens offer 25 days annual leave plus 10 public holidays (pro rata), 3% pension, and we are a Living Wage Employer.

The Head of Corporate Serviceswill work alongside the Head of Programme and Creative Developmentunder the guidance of the Chief Executive to lead and inspire both the staff team and the community of children and young people.
Sistema Scotland’s vision is to improve lives and strengthen communities. Working with children and their families, the programme is focused on early intervention and stimulating generational social change, increasing confidence, aspiration, community cohesion, pride and developing high level skills in the young people involved. We deliver our work through the creation of Big Noise programmes within communities, and currently run six programmes in Raploch & Fallin in Stirling, Govanhill in Glasgow, Torry in Aberdeen, Douglas in Dundee and Wester Hailes in Edinburgh.
Following the appointment of Vicky Williams (current Head of Centre for Big Noise Raploch & Fallin) to the role of Chief Executive Officer, this is an exciting opportunity to join our organisation to lead, manage and deliver the Big Noise Raploch & Fallin programmes. You will work with the team and the two communities to ensure the model supports as many Raploch & Fallin young people and families as possible. As part of the Sistema Scotland leadership team, you will also participate in and build the organisation’s strategy, bringing determination to tackle inequality in Scotland and ensuring that community voices are central to solutions to tackle poverty. You will advocate and highly value the role of early intervention, creativity, music and relationship-based practice in improving lives.
With extensive experience of successful leadership & management of teams, you will also have experience of working with children, young people & communities, and building & sustaining positive relationships with a variety of stake-holders, along with a professional standard of playing on your principal instrument.
