This is a very varied role which includes both operational management and visible leadership. The Community Leader brings people together, leading Celebrations, spiritual spaces, role modelling the values of L’Arche and building a culture which empowers teams to flourish, as well as co-producing plans to develop the Community and the services which we provide. The Community Leader is also responsible for managing compliance, budgets, embedding systems, organisational processes and policies in the Edinburgh Community.

Compassionate Distress Response Service
Glasgow Association for Mental Health is one of the principal providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. We are commissioned by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership to deliver a Compassionate Distress
Response Service (CDRS) for people in distress who do not require a medical or clinical intervention. We would like to recruit for our Out of Hours Pathway for Emergency Services, First Responders, the Mental Health Assessment Units etc.
The OOHs service operates 7 days a week Monday through to Sunday 5pm -2am. The service operates from our GAMH Head Office – St Andrews by the Green, 33 Turnbull Street, Glasgow.

At AIMS we work with young people aged 12-18 years with significant mental health issues and often particularly disadvantaged backgrounds. As a result of mental illness and diagnosed and undiagnosed learning disability over 80% of the young people we work with are outwith mainstream Education, Training and Employment.
At AIMS we believe in the potential of these young people. We want to help them feel better about themselves and their life chances.
We run three Programmes;
Our Projects offer small group activities and high staff ratios. We are not mental health practitioners. We offer intensive personal development support. Overall, we aim to support young people to start to develop their own aspirations. We also aim to support young people to confidently use public transport, communicate effectively, make friendships and develop the courage to try new things.
All our Projects incorporate a huge range of outdoor education challenges, visits and activities, designed to broaden horizons and push boundaries.

Role Focus:
As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the Trust and bring forward more passionate local people to help guide the trust’s development. We are looking to recruit the following board level positions
As a trustee you will help provide leadership and strategic direction to the trust, ensuring that it continually focuses on the needs and aspirations of the residents of Linlithgow ward and operates in a way that is both transparent and transformational.
As a trustee you will be asked to attend board meetings (currently 9 per year, one of which is the AGM) along with contributing to relevant small subgroup pieces of work where appropriate.

JOB PURPOSE
The Climate & Environment team have instigated a 3 year Energy Management Improvement Project. The purpose of this project is to improve our energy management to enable the Trust to reduce energy use and contribute to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. The focus is on four key areas: metering strategy; monitoring & reporting; training & capacity building; and site-based support. A key component of this project is the metering strategy – producing an accurate list of all gas, electric and water meter locations and their status across the Trust’s entire portfolio, upgrading all meters to be automated and migrating them to a new energy management portal. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of administrative support for this aspect of the project. They will ensure all general administration is undertaken diligently, efficiently and carried out within the Trust’s procedures and policies.
