The East Lammermuir community has developed an ambitious Local Place Plan, shaped through extensive community engagement and a built on through a series of themed workshops. This has resulted in four key community priorities: biodiversity restoration, active travel, energy efficiency, and community transport. These priorities are supported by five detailed reports, which provide the evidence base and practical recommendations to guide delivery.
The community is now entering a critical phase: moving from planning to implementation. With significant community benefit funding becoming available, there is a strong opportunity to deliver meaningful, coordinated progress against these ambitions.
The East Lammermuir Community Development Officer role has been created in response to this need. It will provide dedicated capacity to coordinate delivery, align funding and partnerships, and ensure that community priorities are progressed in a structured, collaborative, and impactful way.

The Board of Directors is ultimately accountable for the smooth operation of the organisation, ensuring its long-term financial stability and the delivery of its charitable objectives. It needs to provide leadership, set strategic direction, exercise effective control and monitor performance. Companies House publicly lists our board members, and the Office of the Scottish Charitable Regulator lists charitable trustees.
The board meets every 6 weeks, either face-to-face, via online platforms, or as a hybrid of the two.
The duration of Board meetings is usually less than 2 hours.
All relevant papers are forwarded in advance by email and can be printed in hard copy before the meeting.
Being a trustee is a voluntary role, but Community InfoSource will cover relevant out-of-pocket travel and other expenses that would allow you to attend meetings.
All new trustees are appointed subject to a six-month probationary period
About our Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Service
Aberlour Child Care Trust is leading a Partnership of Highland Council, Barnardos Highland Services, Right There and Gateway to provide practical support care and integration to Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.
The partnership provides support to Asylum-Seekers 16+yrs in all areas of life from house management, community relationships, education, financial management, activities and volunteering. Together we ensure the support improves the lives of young people using a rights-based trauma informed approach.
The Service is dispersed, with an office base in Inverness. Staff are required to provide support across the region - Inverness, Muir of Ord, Dingwall, Alness, Invergordon and Tain. Access to a vehicle and a driver’s license are essential to this role.
What we are looking for....
We are seeking to recruit a Project Worker to join our established team. Funding is currently guaranteed until 31st March 2027 but we are extremely hopeful of funding being extended beyond this. The post requires some weekend work (there is a 3 week rota where staff undertake 1 weekend in 3). You will be expected to work between the hours of 8am and 8pm (working days are 3 x 10 hour shifts and 1 x 7.5 hour shift per week).
There is a need for flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service and young people however where staff are needed to work out with these hours, this would be discussed in advance.
The young people are looking for someone to join the team who is fun, caring and encouraging, providing them with varied and bespoke support to meet their needs; from learning how to manage a house and finances to taking part in activities and learning opportunities that enables them to build a sense of belonging.
You will be an allocated keyworker for specific young people, whilst also being able to work across the service with everyone where required. You will ensure support provided promotes integration, meeting of cultural needs, independent living skills and feelings of safety, through building nurturing relationships which empower young people to grow and develop.
Strong communication skills are required for this role. English is not the first language for many of our young people therefore you will be required to adapt your communication accordingly and support them in their informal learning of English. Additionally, the role requires you to liaise with other agencies including health, education and social worker developing collaborative relationships ensuring the young person is at the forefront of the work we all do.
Ideally, you will have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above or be willing to work towards this.

The Cottage Family Centre was established in 1987. The focus of the work at the Centre is to provide a range of support to those families and individuals within family units who are vulnerable to social exclusion as a result of factors such as poverty, unemployment, poor housing, relationship breakdown, drug and alcohol problems and health related issues.
The range of services that the Cottage provides includes a therapeutic service for children and young people.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced therapist competent to work with children and young people. The successful candidate must be a qualified Play Therapist, Art Therapist or Counsellor qualified to work with children and young people.

The Community Connections Coordinator will set up, deliver and evaluate a range of person-centred activities and support groups for people living with dementia and their carers. This includes drop-in sessions, therapeutic activities, dementia café-style provision, carer support, and brain health initiatives delivered through local community hubs or within a local centre. Working predominantly as a team of two, the postholder will create inclusive and welcoming environments that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection while building strong local partnerships to increase awareness and participation.

You will be creative, organised and flexible with the ability to create inclusive and engaging experiences for individuals within a group setting. Street Connect is a Christian organisation with a mission to offer hope and opportunity of recovery for people disadvantaged by addiction, homelessness, and poor mental health.
As a Projects Worker you can contribute to profound and lasting changes in the lives of highly vulnerable individuals. In 2024/25, we estimate we benefitted approximately 2,678 individuals across 17 projects (and a pilot), with 8,411 street outreach interventions and 4,665 footfalls in our cafés. 5 participants are currently resident in our supported accommodation. 34% of those we benefitted worked closely with us (904), of which: 26% went onto receive intensive one-to-one Key Work support (235 individuals); 34% took part in our community recovery groups (309 individuals); 7% of those receiving Key Work went to rehab, with the other 93% choosing community recovery. To date, approximately 70% of residents in our move-on flats have moved on to positive destinations, such as employment, further education and independent living.
The focal point of the role of Projects Worker will be in supporting church partners and volunteers. Our experience has shown us that working closely with partner churches to deliver support within communities is a successful way for people to access the support that they need. We currently have Street Connect partner churches and projects in Glasgow city centre, Royston, Clydebank, Paisley central, Paisley Kilnside, Greenock, Motherwell, Dunoon and Wishaw. As we continue our vital work in each of these areas our aim is to grow into new communities and allow as many people as possible to access the support they need.
In this role you will be part of the Street Connect team seeking to develop and deliver community recovery support through a range of different routes to both male and female service participants who have a background of complex needs such as addiction, homelessness, and mental health issues, who are now at different stages in their recovery journey. This will include both those in aftercare who are living independently and free from such issues and those at an earlier stage in their recovery.

About Forth Valley Intensive Perinatal Service
Aberlour has always seen the benefit of early intervention and are pleased to have received funding from Scottish Government to work across Forth Valley supporting new parents pre and post birth. By working alongside new parents, we aim to facilitate recovery from problematic substance use and improve parenting capacity and confidence to positively impact on the outcomes for both parents and their new babies.
The service will work across 7 days per week operating within the hours of 8am to 8pm to flexibly meet the needs of the parents and families being supported. The work will cover prebirth to baby’s first birthday offering strength-based, whole family support.

We are seeking to recruit an Intensive Perinatal Support Worker, working 37.5 hours per week. It is essential that you have a full driving licence. Initial funding from Scottish Government is secured until March 2027, however with successful outcomes we are hopeful that this specialised work would be extended further. We are looking for a candidate with a sound knowledge of child development and experience of working with individuals with problematic substance and/or alcohol use.

Team Leader – West Central Services (Glasgow Family Wellbeing Service)
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our West Central Services to positively impact on the lives of children, young people and their families, building empowering relationships to address the various, often complex challenges they face. These are innovative services, working alongside children and their families within communities across West Central Services providing whole family support which is easily accessible and non-stigmatising. We adopt a relational and restorative approach which helps families to strengthen relationships and reduce emotional distress. Our main Children First base is in Glasgow, but as a key member of our wider leadership team across Glasgow, Inverclyde, South Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire, you will oversee a range of services, and some travel would be expected across these areas.

We currently have a community base in the Pollok area of the southside of Glasgow. The role involves meeting partners and families across in their local communities in Glasgow and our other services/areas. Due to the needs of the service, this is a fully office/community-based role.

Heritage Project Manager & Fundraiser Parish of Dunkeld: Restoration of 13th Century choir of Dunkeld Cathedral
Background: Restoring an iconic 13th century historic building
The Parish of Dunkeld is undertaking an exciting restoration of the 13th century part of the building still used by the congregation, “the choir”. To make the Choir of the Cathedral a building fit for purpose and preserve it for future generations, we need to do a wide-ranging programme of work both internally and externally.
This once in a hundred-year project will enable the cathedral to be accessed safely and used year-round by the congregation and the community for generations to come.
In addition, it will allow for increased and improved interpretation of the history and heritage of the building providing a better experience for visitors. We consider improved interpretation of our building as key to its long-term future and sustainability, and improvements in this will determine the success of the project.
We plan to make a formal delivery phase application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) in 2026 and seek support from an experienced heritage project manager, who has fundraising experience to help us with this application, working with our Design Team of consultants, led by Oberlanders Architects with Alan Marshall, including Narro Associates, Irons Foulner and Morham & Brotchie and our Visitor Engagement Consultants, Community Enterprise.
Purpose of the role
This role will be responsible for project managing and overseeing the initial phase of the restoration project (relationships with the project team, Kirk Session, Design team, visitor engagement consultants, key funders) with the joint aims of
• preparing the delivery phase application to the NLHF, and
• seeking sufficient matched funding to enable a delivery phase application to the NLHF in 2026
Our key challenge at this stage of the project is to find sufficient matched funding before our Heritage Fund application and before we receive Heritage Fund Delivery Stage permission to start.
This is a £4.2m project with a 9–12-month development phase followed by a two-year delivery phase (subject to securing further funding). We have secured initial funding for the development phase from National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and support from Historic Environment Scotland (HES) towards the delivery phase. The development stage of the project will run from April 2026 until submission of the Delivery Phase application. We are aiming to submit this application by 12 Nov 2026. The delivery stage will run from the date when permission to start is received from a successful NLHF delivery phase bid. We estimate that this will be around June 2027.
As a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project, delivering the matched funding element of this project is key to successfully completing the Development Phase and releasing the funding required for the Delivery Phase.
You will map progress against the initial aims of the project, co-ordinate consultants, seek funding opportunities and work with the volunteer team to draft and make appropriate and timely applications.
The successful candidate will also be expected to manage the day-to-day administration of the project, making sure deadlines are met, grant applications are made, reports submitted on time and grant claims are made
We estimate that 1-2 days per week will be required for this work, varying around milestones and key deadlines.
You will be joining us at an exciting time as we continue to grow our reach to support people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus through our RNID Near You community services. These services are delivered in accessible local community settings through a local coordinator and volunteers to offer:
• practical hearing aid support
• information on hearing loss and tinnitus
• hearing checks
You will have responsibility for the successful management and delivery of these services across your area.
You will:
• Manage your service hubs to ensure high quality, standardised delivery of RNID Near You – meeting performance and KPI targets delivery within budget with an eye to continuous improvement.
• Support your team through positive and encouraging line management to deliver RNID Near You to the highest standards.
• Work with the Community Services Development Team to record and collate KPI information ensuring that your services are delivering to target and act quickly to ensure plans are in place to remedy poor performance.
• Liaise with key partners and stakeholders to deliver mutual satisfaction of performance and ensure long term funding of our services.
Essential criteria for the post:
• You will have a strong background in service delivery to target and to a high standard.
• You will have experience of supporting staff or volunteers to deliver high quality service activity.
• You will have an eye for detail and record keeping (monitoring and evaluation).
• You will have experience of preparing and managing budgets with knowledge of routine finance and budget processes.
