We believe in lasting change through learning, because everybody deserves to thrive. Capella is a charitable company limited by guarantee and has been supporting people for 26 years. We run two charitable services called Sleep Action and Teens+, which provide people with support and education to make a lasting difference and improve lives.

With an ambitious new strategy, this is an exciting time to join the board. We are growing our existing services and developing new services that contribute to our purpose. Do you have the passion and expertise to help us achieve our goals?

We are looking for up to two new trustees to join our established and committed board. You will play an integral role in helping the charity to achieve its strategy while providing guidance, support and constructive challenge. You will help make a lasting difference and improve lives as well as grow personally and professionally.

While we welcome applications from anyone with a passion for what we do, we are particularly keen to receive applications from people with one or more of the following:

  • People who do not typically join boards based on their age, life experience, disability, gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
  • Background in public awareness campaigns or PR
  • Fundraising at a community or strategic level

Training Administrator

Would you like to join a busy team providing administrative support organising highly successful and sought-after sleep training courses, both online and in person across the UK and Ireland? Sleep Action are looking to expand our training team to meet increased demand for our training events.

You will have excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively. You will use your initiative to manage your own workload as well as be able to work effectively as part of a team. You will have experience of using IT in an administrative and supportive context, in particular Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Interest in the voluntary sector and in sleep related information would be an advantage.

This position will be hybrid working with the majority working from home, with some work on occasion in our office in McDonald Road, Edinburgh. Occasional travel within Edinburgh and the surrounding areas will be required but planned in advance.

Sleep Scotland is a values-driven organisation, and you would be joining a close-knit and supportive team.

At Capella, we believe in creating meaningful change through tailored support and education. We’re looking for a dedicated Operations Coordinator to play a critical role in maintaining our organisation’s efficiency and excellence.

About the Role:

As an Operations Coordinator, you’ll support a range of functions essential to smooth daily operations, including:

  • Administrative Duties: Welcoming contractors, managing inventory, and handling data entry.
  • Facilities Management: Overseeing building maintenance, supplies, and environmental compliance.
  • IT Support: Assisting with day-to-day technical issues and maintaining business systems.
  • Health & Safety: Conducting risk assessments, fire safety checks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You’ll also supervise caretakers and cleaners, contributing to a safe, efficient, and positive environment across our sites.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or operations role (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including COSHH and PAT testing.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and problem-solving skills for technical issues.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Driving ability (preferred).
