Blue Triangle is a social care organisation that empowers people to thrive, by delivering solutions in connected communities which focus on the needs of each individual. We are looking for enthusiastic people who share our values (Kind, Passionate and Creative) to join our services accommodating and supporting people experiencing homelessness and empowering them to thrive.
If successful, you will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of your start date. After registration, there is a requirement to be qualified and to maintain professional learning, which we will support you to achieve.
Blue Triangle recognises and actively promotes the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to treating all employees with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, religion or belief.
We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
What we offer:
Aside from offering a supportive and friendly environment where our people are valued and appreciated, we’ll see that your hard work and drive to succeed is rewarded.
And many more!
Our Oban Services are Solas and Shore street where these roles would be between. We have an 18 hour vacancy and a 28 hour available. These roles will both follow a nightshift working pattern on a rota, including some weekends. If you have any questions about the role, please contact recruitment@bluetriangle.org.uk

We are recruiting three new trustees.
We support young people in reaching their full potential by building their confidence and self-belief through participation in outdoor adventure activities. We deliver residential courses, primarily in the West of Scotland, for groups of young people from across the UK. We also deliver day and multiday adventures for groups of young people primarily from our community. See Hebrideanpursuits.org for more.
Our Trustees
The board of trustees needs to be able to shape strategy and effect organisational change alongside a very heavy delivery workload. Holding the charity to account, they ensure value for donors’ money. They are responsible for ensuring that risks to the charity and young people are managed and mitigated.
In this small organisation, the Trustees are involved in the management of the charity and the challenges that brings. Trustees meet at least four times a year, either in Argyll or Edinburgh, face to face or with video conferencing.
Experience of charity governance, fundraising and outdoor pursuits would be useful. Sharing our determination to support disadvantaged young people using outdoor learning is essential. We also would welcome applicants with strong skills and experience in any one of finance, GDPR, child protection and safeguarding, youth work (inequalities and inclusion) and health and safety regulation.
