Your tasks may include assisting with daily activities such as financial management, offering prompts, encouragement, administering medication, as well as providing help around the house and with personal care. After the daily routines, our Service Users enjoy relaxing and would appreciate your company for activities like a trip to the cinema, a concert, supporting their local football team, or simply sharing a meal and a gaming session at home. There may even be opportunities for you to accompany them on a holiday. You will be working with individuals with diverse support needs, offering practical and emotional support, and motivating them to achieve their personal goals.

Could you brighten someone's day in Johnstone? Our Service Users require 24-hour support, necessitating availability for various shifts and sleepovers. We operate on a 37-hour working week and compensate you with an extra sleepover shift.

Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Renfrewshire LD Services are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland’s Renfrewshire Learning Disability Services deliver a Care at Home and Housing Support service for a large number of people who have learning and physical disabilities living across the Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire areas. The accommodation includes 2 core and cluster services. Individuals who are supported by the service live either on their own or share with others. Individual’s homes are located throughout Renfrewshire. Most people receive 24 hour support.

The staff who work in Renfrewshire Learning Disability services are committed to ensuring that individuals are always included in the development, implementation and review of their personal life plans. The ethos of the service is to assist people to meet their personal, social, educational and domestic aspirations in accordance with Keys to Life. Our staff work in a person centred, outcome focussed manner, working in partnership with Renfrewshire Council Social Work Department and community healthcare teams will ensure peoples’ support needs are fully met.

We are registered with the Care Commission and work in partnership with a number of external agencies i.e. Social Work Department, Community Learning Disability Teams, and Housing Associations etc.

The individuals we support are provided with the opportunity to become involved in their local and surrounding community. Our management structure, together with the administration team enables us to monitor closely the service we provide. All our staff, regardless of their position, receive extensive training which enables them to carry out their job to a high standard.

The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

River Garden is a vibrant therapeutic community set within 47 acres of stunning gardens and woodlands. We are dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey of recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, helping them rediscover their talents and develop new skills through meaningful work and connection.

We are looking for an Activity Coordinator to join our team. This is a unique, hands-on role acting as the "custodian" of our outdoor spaces and a bridge to the wider community. You will lead weekend and midweek operations, ensuring our gardens remain a place of beauty, safety, and therapeutic growth.

Main Responsibilities

• Weekend Operational Lead: Manage volunteer rosters and delegate garden-based therapeutic tasks to residents and recovery workers.
• Social Enterprise Development: Lead the launch and management of "The Shop," our onsite retail outlet. You will train residents in retail skills, manage stock, and showcase River Garden products—from woodcraft to fresh produce.
• Event Leadership: Work with a Resident Event Committee to coordinate everything from monthly BBQs and open mics to community exchange events.
• Community Partnerships: Build bridges with local arts, sports, and conservation groups to ensure River Garden is a thriving, integrated hub.

About the role

We are recruiting a Parliamentary Officer to help to position us with political stakeholders as a credible, solutions-focused strategic partner in the reform of social care, and support delivery of our wider influencing work.

With a new government in place from May and major changes anticipated in the Scottish political landscape over the coming year, this role will focus on establishing strong relationships and influence for CCPS, prioritising the Scottish Parliament but also engaging in UK or local political spheres where appropriate.

You will be a great communicator and able to draw on demonstrable experience of the national political landscape in Scotland; a detailed understanding of the workings of the Scottish Parliament; and experience of advising on development of effective political influencing strategies.
