We are looking for a creative, organised and digitally focused marketing professional to join our Global Engagement team.

As our Marketing & Digital Communications Officer, you will plan and deliver marketing activity to promote the College's membership, educational programmes, events and support services to audiences in the UK and around the world. You will take campaigns from planning through to delivery and evaluation, creating engaging content across multiple channels, and using data and insights to improve performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive marketer who enjoys taking ownership of campaigns and combining creative communications with hands-on digital marketing. You'll work across email, web, social media and paid digital advertising, managing multiple campaigns and priorities at the same time. You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation and play an important role in supporting the College's strategic objectives.

About the Role

• As part of our Global Engagement team, you will lead and deliver integrated marketing campaigns that raise awareness, drive participation and strengthen engagement with our audiences.
• Plan, develop and deliver integrated marketing and communications campaigns for College priorities, services, events and membership activities, from initial objectives and audience planning through to delivery and evaluation.
• Create engaging content for email campaigns, websites, social media, advertising and printed materials.
• Develop and deliver marketing activity for educational and professional events to UK and international audiences, with a focus on increasing awareness and participation
• Lead email marketing activity utilising the Dot digital platform and contribute to audience growth and engagement.
• Plan, manage and optimise paid digital advertising campaigns, including budgets, audience targeting and performance against agreed objectives

Remuneration Package

The salary for this role will be £ 34,384 per annum plus benefits. Additional benefits include:

The Facilities Manager will lead the Facilities Management Team covering offices at 5 Charlotte Square, Broadstone, 211 Sauchiehall Street and also providing support to NTS locations in the Central Belt. This role will primarily involve the presentation of NTS Central Offices as a high standard, well organized workplace; it includes responsibility for compliance and security, administration and planning to make the Central Offices run smoothly,-.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

General Tasks

• Managing the sites at 5 Charlotte Square, Broadstone and 211 Sauchiehall Street.
• Supporting the Trust at other sites including Pitreavie and Stenhouse – there will be other sites as required.
• The postholder will be a keyholder for the buildings, with access to secure areas, including confidential information.
• The post-holder will provide a high standard of service to internal customers and to visitors to ensure that the Trust’s reputation is maintained, responding to enquiries and directing them to the appropriate members of staff.

Support Services

• Responsible for supporting facilities as required to regular head office staff and off-site staff visiting Broadstone, including but not limited to,
  • Receiving and processing incoming and outgoing mail and packages in line with safety procedures.
  • Operation and monitoring of resource booking systems, (eg, workstation requests, car parking, meeting rooms)
  • Ordering, control and replenishment of facilities supplies, such as hygiene consumables, stationery, etc in line with delivery procedures and working closely with the Procurement team.
  • Working with IT to ensure that central printing and copying equipment is serviceable and well stocked and providing support with meeting room audio-visual equipment.
• Overseeing the routine of the Central Offices including the provision of building manuals and compliance.
• Coordinating and procuring furniture and fittings.
• Arranging catering for internal meetings.

Health and Safety

• Hosting and organising induction processes for visitors and new personnel.
• In line with stated Trust policies and approaches to ensure the health and welfare of staff/volunteers and visitors in compliance with legislation.
  • Assessing and dealing with emergency response situations as they arise in line with business continuity procedures.
  • Ensuring the provision of a high standard of hygiene through external contractors, comprising daily cleans of the office and additional cleaning services as required.

Maintenance and building checks,

• Including but not limited to:
  • Carrying out property condition/safety and fire safety checks and inspections in line with Safe Systems of Work.
  • Initiating and monitoring contractor repair and maintenance in line with contractor management procedures and legislation.
  • Storing, maintaining and controlling the use of all tools/equipment at NTS properties and to carry out regular audits of same.
• Maintaining on-line records in relation to the elements above to ensure compliance with legislation.

The current duties of this job do require a criminal records (Disclosure Scotland) check to be carried out.

The Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive has grown out of Scotland’s first LGBTQ+ bookshops, Lavender Menace and West & Wilde. Bob Orr and Sigrid Nielsen, the owners of the original Lavender Menace Bookshop founded the Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive in 2019 to keep this valuable LGBTQ+ book heritage alive and share it with the community.

We have a mission to bring together the queer community in Edinburgh and beyond; celebrate LGBTQ+ authors and their works; and collect and preserve LGBTQ+ books (focusing on those published between 1970 and 2000). We work to create and maintain a free and welcoming community archive space for reading, research, and socialising. The archive is open to visitors and hosts a variety of author events, workshops, community groups and book clubs. We also have a digital catalogue of our collection.

To support the next stage of our growth, we are seeking a General Manager to build the sustainability of the Archive and ensure effective delivery of our programmes. Working closely with the Board, this exciting new role will lead organisational development, fundraising, financial administration, governance, and long-term planning, while managing and leading the work of a high performing staff team. Specifically, the postholder will provide high-level oversight of collections policy, ethics, and risk, ensuring the archive remains accessible, cared for, and responsive to community needs; whilst also leading the team to effectively deliver our new project “Unlocking Scotland’s LGBTQ+ Heritage”, which is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we will be able to expand the reach of the Archive, and better connect communities to their heritage.

This role would suit a proven leader with professional experience in archives, libraries, museums, or heritage collections, who has a strong degree of LGBTQ+ cultural competence and who is able to operate with autonomy in a collaborative and supportive way. It presents a fantastic opportunity to grow your leadership and project delivery skills, and contribute to the long term sustainability of a vital community resource in Scotland.

We’re looking for additional Project Workers for our Edinburgh team!

In this role, you’ll work closely in a supportive capacity with adults with learning disabilities and autism who attend our workshop based service; assisting individuals to build their independence and live fulfilling lives.

We currently have vacancies in our team based across Edinburgh which operates services in St. Margaret's House (Meadowbank) and Links House (Leith). At present, we are not looking for Project Workers to work from our other locations.

Our services are separated into the following workshop areas:

• St. Margaret's House: Music, Drama, Dance, Performance, and Life Skills (Upmo Retail, Upmo Empower)
• Links House: Art, IT, VR, Digital Photography

About the Role

As a Project Worker, you will be part of an enthusiastic and creative team who provide daily support to adults with learning disabilities and autism as they participate in workshop activities of their choosing within our site-based services, and café sites.

Our students attend workshops in a variety of subject areas as noted above. As such, we are interested in hearing from individuals with an interest or skill set in those areas, to fully support our students in getting the most out of their time at Upmo.

Currently, we're particularly interested a skillset in any of the following: IT & VR, Digital Multimedia, Music, or Drama. However, we are also interested in hearing from candidates with experience in care or support more generally.

The primary function of this role is to provide 1:1 support to students within workshop sessions. You will work closely with both individuals and groups to help them engage, participate, and achieve their personal goals in a safe and supportive workshop environment.

You will also be expected to assist with personal care tasks throughout the day, where required. This includes support with toileting needs, other private hygiene tasks, and eating and drinking. All personal care must be delivered with dignity, respect, and sensitivity.

Additionally, throughout the week our Project Workers will provide support to our students that access our Café sites in partnership with Edinburgh Leisure.

There are opportunities for Project Workers to take on a more active leadership role within workshops as a workshop facilitator. This aspect of the Project Worker role focuses on leading workshop activities, and involves contributing to the planning, delivery, and record keeping of workshop activities to ensure they align with our RISE curriculum with support from our Curriculum Leads.
