As the Challenge Events & Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll be right at the heart of our team’s efforts to make sure no one affected by spina bifida or hydrocephalus feels alone.

Each year, we aim to raise over £1.2 million through multiple fundraising streams to support our essential services. We have exciting plans to grow our income and service reach over the next four years. Your mission will be to generate income by creating partnerships with charities, supporters and community groups. You will lead and line managing the team in innovation and third-party challenge events across Scotland.

You will be leading some of the most high-profile fundraising events in the country, including the Strathclyde Zipslide (formerly Zipslide the Clyde), the Falkirk Wheel Abseil and the Port of Leith Abseil.

This is an exciting and creative role where you will lead the Schools & Community Fundraiser, Events & Community Fundraiser and Fundraising Assistant to implement your joint fundraising strategies.

Reporting to: Head of Fundraising and Communications

Place of Work: Hybrid office/home-working model with base being the Dan Young Building, Dullatur G68 0LS. Occasional travel within Scotland to accommodate needs of fundraising.

Working Hours: The role is 35 hours across 5 days (can be discussed). Normal work hours are 9.00am to 4.30pm. The role will necessitate working some hours out with normal office hours, including evening and some weekends.

Salary: £36,139

Driving license and access to a car is essential for this role.

GAMH are commissioned by Glasgow Carers Partnership to deliver support to unpaid Carers living within the North East of the city. Our service offers inclusive and holistic support to Carers to help maintain their quality of life and improve their health and wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and organised individual to support unpaid carers through the administration of Time to Live and Short Break funding. The primary purpose of the role is to facilitate the distribution of microgrants enabling unpaid carers to take short breaks from their caring responsibilities and improve their wellbeing.

The post holder will also provide general administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of the Carers Service.

Sight Scotland Veterans is looking for an Activity Worker / Driver to join our team at the Linburn Centre on a part-time basis (30 hours per week). In this role, you will deliver and support a varied programme of activities. You will encourage veterans to try new experiences, develop skills and engage with others in a person-centred and accessible way.

You will also contribute to planning and developing new activities and events, supporting the day-to-day running of the service and working closely with colleagues and volunteers to ensure a high standard of delivery. Driving and/or escorting duties are part of the role, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

This is a hands-on and rewarding opportunity for someone who is organised, approachable and confident in motivating others. You should have strong communication and organisational skills, good IT knowledge and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in a social care, recreational or community setting would be advantageous.

We are looking to recruit a Vision Link Worker to join the Sight Scotland & Sight Scotland Veteran’s Team. You will work with our Rehab and Group co-ordinator teams, to support people with sight loss across the Highlands.

As a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is empathetic and a skilled communicator, you will have prior experience of working with individuals with sight loss. With the ability to assess the needs of Service Users within their own homes or over the phone. You will be part of a high performing team which will helps lead the charity to continued success in meeting the aspirations of those who we support.

If you have experience in a relevant field, have clear understanding of sight loss and the challenges people face and feel you have the skills to grow and develop the service, then we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out home visits throughout the Highlands & Western Isles therefore a full driving licence is required.

Where able, this role will be carried out under our homeworking policy, you will work from home. However, travel to one of our sites for face to face team meetings and training will be required occasionally.
