FEL Scotland is looking for a Project Officer to support delivery of our Trees for Goals project.

This exciting project uses grassroots sport as a gateway into climate action, linking goals scored on the pitch with trees planted in local communities. Working with sports clubs, partners and residents across Forth Valley, the project aims to increase climate awareness, encourage community climate pledges and support tree planting in areas with low tree canopy cover.

You will work closely with FEL colleagues and partner organisations including The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) and Forth Climate Forest to engage clubs and communities, coordinate activities and help deliver local impact.

We are looking for someone with strong people skills who enjoys community engagement and partnership working. Experience in community projects, climate action, sport, volunteering or environmental work would be valuable, but we welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds.

The role is primarily office based in Stirling, with regular travel across Forth Valley and occasional evening or weekend work for community activities. Limited home working may be available by agreement.

We’re looking for a Service Delivery Manager to lead our Hub, Advice and Technical teams within Business Energy Scotland. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for delivering high-quality support to businesses and ensuring the service runs effectively day to day.

You’ll work closely with Assistant Programme Managers to support and develop their teams, helping them deliver consistently excellent advice and customer service. You’ll also play a central role in improving how the service works, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, streamline processes and strengthen the customer journey.

The service is delivering strong outcomes for businesses across Scotland. However, as user needs and expectations continue to evolve, there is a clear opportunity to build on this success; adapting how we deliver, improving the customer experience and ensuring we remain responsive, relevant and impactful.

This role is about more than operational delivery. You’ll help shape a positive, learning-focused culture, embed continuous improvement and support behavioural change; both within the team and in how we support businesses to act on energy-saving opportunities.

The team

Business Energy Scotland supports small and medium-sized businesses across Scotland to reduce energy use, lower costs and cut carbon. We provide practical advice, technical support and access to funding to help businesses take action.

Our team brings together a mix of skills across advice, technical delivery and customer engagement. We work collaboratively, support each other to improve, and focus on delivering a high-quality service that makes a real difference.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day leadership for Advice and Technical teams, supporting Assistant Programme Managers to coach and develop their people
• Lead on service performance, quality and operational efficiency, ensuring a strong customer experience
• Oversee resource planning and performance management, aligning capacity with demand
• Manage operational risks and support continuous improvement across processes and delivery
• Work with colleagues to design and implement improvements to the service and customer journey

What you will bring

• Proven leadership experience of multi-skilled teams, including supporting and developing managers or supervisors to effectively coach others
• Strong technical knowledge of energy efficiency, low carbon heat and renewable technologies, with the confidence to guide teams and ensure high-quality, accurate advice
• Experience leading operational delivery at scale, including performance management, KPI tracking and maintaining consistent service quality
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using service design or continuous improvement approaches to identify, prioritise and deliver the highest-impact changes
• Ability to lead behavioural and culture change, creating a positive, inclusive and learning-focused environment that empowers teams, supports innovation and drives ongoing improvement

About the role

As a Central Support Administrator, you’ll be part of our friendly Facilities team, helping keep our organisation running smoothly day-to-day. This is a varied role where no two days are the same - perfect if you enjoy being busy and learning new things. You’ll often be the first point of contact for visitors and enquiries, so being approachable and helpful is key. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Welcoming visitors and managing reception
• Handling phone and online enquiries
• Monitoring stock levels and keeping the kitchen, office, equipment, meeting rooms and storage facility organised and tidy
• Assisting with our fleet vehicles.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is motivated and ready to learn
• Has good organisation and communication skills
• Is confident using IT (e.g. Microsoft 365 / Office)
• Takes pride in being helpful and reliable.

You don’t need lots of experience as we’ll provide the training you need. This role is a fantastic opportunity to build skills and gain recognised qualifications, including:

• Full on-the-job training and support from experienced colleagues
• Electrical Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
• First Aid training to enable the postholder to assist with accidents.
• Fire Warden training to provide assistance with fire evacuations.

This role will require occasional driving of fleet vehicles to support operational activities. We recognise that obtaining a full UK driving license can present a financial barrier. Where the successful candidate does not already hold a full UK driving license, we will offer financial support towards lessons and the driving test, subject to terms and conditions.

Once a license has been obtained, there may be opportunities to use a vehicle as part of the role (e.g. supporting our electric and hybrid fleet), providing valuable practical experience.

Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people through fuel poverty and food insecurity. We deliver a range of projects, events and skills training to achieve the needs and goals of local people – building resilience as a community and working towards a future where everyone can live better and tread more lightly on our planet.

Based in the heart of Kirkcaldy – with a community building, training kitchen, bike shop and garden – we carry out activities across Kirkcaldy and work with partners to deliver projects across Fife.

We lead the Cosy Kingdom partnership, a free and impartial energy advice service available to all tenants and homeowners across Fife. We help people save energy and stay warm while spending less on fuel.

We also deliver a means-tested handy service installing simple energy saving measures into people’s homes. Our work plays a vital role supporting people in, or at risk of, fuel poverty and makes an important contribution to tackling carbon emissions and climate change.

The Role

We are looking for a handyperson to join our team who will support people by fitting simple energy saving measures in their homes. These include putting up curtain poles and thermal curtains, installing radiator reflector panels, draught-proofing and fitting LED light bulbs.

You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining Greener Kirkcaldy’s premises.

We will provide training, and you will be supported by a great team.
