Energy Saving Trust is a leading and trusted organisation, dedicated to promoting energy efficiency, low carbon transport and sustainable energy use. We aim to address the climate emergency and deliver the wider benefits of clean energy as we transition to net zero.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Home Energy Scotland team to provide project management and operational support for domestic water efficiency projects, primarily on behalf of Scottish Water. This includes working in partnership with Scottish Water to distribute water saving packs - advice and devices - to householders across Scotland.
Home Energy Scotland provides free expert impartial advice to help householders create warmer homes, reduce their energy bills and lower their carbon footprint. Through a network of regional advice centres across Scotland, Home Energy Scotland offers advice on saving energy and keeping warm at home, renewable energy, greener travel, cutting water waste and more. With around one fifth of the average household’s heating energy being used to heat water, saving water can make a significant difference to household energy bills. Scottish Water has teamed up with Home Energy Scotland to help households save water, energy and money. You will liaise with Scottish Water over the provision of advice and devices, promotion of the offer, evaluation, customer experience and development of community-scale projects. You will ensure project delivery is aligned to requirements and support the on-going development of the project.
You will co-ordinate and support the Home Energy Scotland advice centres to ensure excellent customer service, knowledge transfer, monitoring and reporting on targets. You will identify and facilitate best practice to encourage uptake of water saving devices and behaviours, monitor monthly reports to ensure targets and standards are being met, and provide training and support to help staff improve the quality of advice and the uptake of the water-saving behaviour and devices.
Your ability to plan and prioritise work is essential and building effective relationships with key teams/partners, applying well-refined communication and influencing skills, will be key to your success.
This is a fixed term position until 31 March 2023. We are open to flexible working patterns and blended (part home and part office-based) working is possible for this role. In this role you will be required to attend meetings and events in person in Edinburgh and other locations in Scotland.
