Scottish Huntington’s Association is the only charity in the country exclusively dedicated to providing expert and personalised support for those impacted by Huntington’s disease.

We are seeking a proactive, confident and dynamic individual with experience in event fundraising who shares our values as an organisation and is driven to make a difference. Your role will play a vital part in our Community and Events Income Generation Team, helping to realise our vision of providing the best possible care and support for everyone impacted by Huntington’s disease in Scotland.

In this role, you will manage both third-party and Scottish Huntington’s Association-organised events from start to finish, which include runs, walks, abseils, zipslides, firewalks, and our flagship event, Dance 100.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Event creation: Conceptualising and planning engaging fundraising events.
• Marketing: Promoting events effectively to reach a wide audience.
• Participant recruitment: Attracting and securing participants to raise funds in aid of Scottish Huntington’ Association
• Stewardship: Ensuring participants feel valued and appreciated.
• Timely execution: Delivering all event tasks on schedule and according to annual plans and budget.

Your goal will be to create positive experiences that generate essential unrestricted income, ultimately transforming one-time event participants into lifelong supporters.

The Senior Development Officer role will identify and develop opportunities for innovation and improvement within health and social care integration. You will build capacity and facilitate stronger connections between the statutory sector, third sector and people with lived and living experience by meaningfully engaging and enabling more collaborative working and shared learning. Terms and conditions

This post is a fixed-term contract. This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, based in Glasgow. The post holder will be required to adopt a flexible approach to working hours as travel throughout Scotland and occasional additional hours may be required. However, this will be reimbursed through the organisation’s Time off in Lieu scheme.

About Revive MS Support

Revive MS Support is the only charity in the West of Scotland providing nationwide support for people who are affected by MS. The charity was set up in 1984 by people living with MS and their families, and helps people manage the physical, emotional, financial, and social impacts that come with a diagnosis of MS.

Services include an MS Specialist Nurse; MS Specialist Physiotherapy; Welfare & Benefit support; Speech and Language Therapy; Counselling; Aromatherapy & Reflexology; Advocacy, Podiatry; Exercise classes; extensive group provision including Fatigue Management, Memory Matters, and other self-management groups; Continence Nurse service; Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy; and support for carers, families and friends; an extensive social programme and a Café hub.

We’re passionate that Revive is about people, and not just about MS. We can’t change someone’s diagnosis, but we can meet them on their journey and help them take control of their condition, maximise their mental and physical health and well-being, and help them work towards their goals.
