Kinning Park Complex (KPC) is a well-established, well-loved and recently renovated community space and social enterprise with a large hall, a number of small office and event spaces, potential hot desking spaces, a kitchen, cafe, and a community garden. The space is a vital community asset with a range of community-based projects and activities including community meals, classes and events.
We are seeking a Director who will lead the next phase of our growth and development. Working closely with the trustees, staff team, service users and external stakeholders, you will help achieve and shape our ambitious plans over the coming years.
You will work as part of a small team and be responsible to the Board of Trustees.

The Conservation Volunteers connects people and green spaces to deliver lasting outcomes for both.
This role plays a crucial part in supporting TCV's mission to empower individuals and communities to enhance their health, prospects, and outdoor environments. It involves overseeing TCV projects, delivering services in line with local operational plans, and helping achieve TCV's strategic objectives. About the role:
Are you passionate about the outdoors and eager to make a difference in people's lives? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Training Officer to lead our innovative programmes. This initiative, backed by the Stirling Local Employability Partnership (LEP), aims to tackle poverty, promote inclusion and social justice, and create a fair and prosperous Scotland.
Our training programmes prepares people with mild to moderate learning difficulties, and those furthest from the labour market, for the world of work. The programmes offer people opportunities to engage with the richness of our wild environments in a sustainable manner. Through these experiences, we aim to build confidence, curiosity, resilience, problem-solving abilities, and inspire creativity.
As the Training Officer, you will develop and deliver an experiential, hands-on learning programme to increase participants' confidence and practical and social skills, moving them closer to the labour market. You will bridge the gap between school and employment by providing job experience, structure, regular conversations, and understanding of workplace dynamics, including problem-solving and teamwork. You will lead two exciting bio-enhancement projects including the creation of a new pond and orchard, involving the participants in the design, planning, construction, and planting.
Through engaging activities, the programme will promote well-being, wildlife conservation, and a deeper understanding of nature, while also fostering stronger connections between the local environment and the community. Additionally, it will support individuals in their pursuit of further education and employment opportunities.

They will be proactive and resourceful, possessing a problem-solving mindset and the ability to take initiative in overcoming challenges. Adaptability is key, as the candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, adjusting to various working environments and conditions. Hours of Work: 14 hours per week: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm on Thursdays and 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on Fridays (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break).
Salary: £24,000 pro rata
Pension: Norton Park SCIO run a contributory pension scheme, which staff are encouraged to join. Employer contribution 7% and employee contribution 5%.
Annual leave: Pro rata entitlement of 25 days of annual leave plus 10 public holidays each year. Note: Annual leave must be used during the Christmas and New Year break.

This is an influential and dynamic position, where the role holder will be responsible for leading on a diverse range of policy areas and levers for change to end domestic abuse and violence against women and girls in Scotland. They will be a key member of the Senior leadership team and will support and manage a team of policy officers, identify, shape an develop policy priorities, and SWA’s campaigning an advocacy work in line with our strategic objectives. What you’ll do
Working with the Chief Executive, Policy and other teams within SWA, you will develop and implement strategies to achieve key objectives on policy social change. You will provide leadership and line management to the Policy Team to ensure that SWA achieves its strategic objectives. You will collaborate on and direct work including but not limited to; analysis and challenge of government and public policy reports, development of consultation responses, parliamentary briefings, and policy and advocacy materials for a range of audiences. You will build strong relationships and work collaboratively with government officials, other organisations and charities to influence and promote SWA policy and objectives, representing SWA well to target audiences, including government and Parliamentary liaison where you will speak at public events, committees and give evidence.
