We are seeking up to two individuals with experience in financial management, project management/planning roles, or accountancy to support the effective governance of the Care and Repair Edinburgh (CRE) Board of Trustees and to act as a Trustee and Non-Executive Director of CRE.
INTRODUCTION
CRE is a voluntary organisation helping those over 60 years of age and/or anyone with a disability, to improve and repair their properties to enable them to live as independently and as safely as possible. CRE is a charity in its 40th Year, and limited company, governed by a Board of Directors. The CRE team are based at Causewayside House, 160 Causewayside, Edinburgh. The team consists of: Director, Operations Manager, Senior Administrator/Volunteer Coordinator, 3 Administrators, Joiner, Engineer, Electrician and a Handyperson. There are also approximately 20 volunteers who undertake small DIY jobs.
CRE offer the following services to anyone aged 60+ or anyone with a disability, who live in the City of Edinburgh Council tax area.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
These posts are not remunerated but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
Trustees should not have any significant interest in any organisation that conflicts directly with the goals of CRE and all potential conflicts of interest should be declared, including at each Board meeting.

Individuals with experience in financial management, project management/planning roles, or accountancy to support the effective governance of the Care and Repair Edinburgh (CRE)
We also welcome candidates who do not have Boardroom experience. Full induction and training will be provided.
