About the role

Our Dunedin Harbour hostel offers accommodation and support to people who find themselves homeless. Our dedicated team help residents tackle the issues they face, including addictions and mental health, and provide them with support to address any issues and a pathway back into a permanent home. As a night shift support assistant, you will provide basic advice, assistance, and support to service users during the night to ensure the provision of a 24-hour service, ensuring there is a supportive and safe living environment for all service users.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills, IT literacy and ability to manage a night shift pattern. A professional qualification in housing / care support or allied discipline is desirable, experience of paid or voluntary work at a similar level is essential. It is an essential requirement of the role to be a member of the PVG scheme membership.
