You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live life to the full again. Our Hospital to Home services form a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.

We are looking for someone with drive and creativity to support the expansion of the Peer Support network in pursuance of our strategic aim to expand our Peer Support community from 3 thousand to 10 thousand members by 2028, and demonstrate impact for people affected by chest, heart, stroke and long covid conditions.

The role holder will lead the Peer and Involvement Team of staff and volunteers; ensuring quality standards, providing advice, guidance and support to our affiliated Peer Support Groups managing relationships and signposting to relevant services and support.

You will support the Peer, Participation and Engagement Manager to deliver the Participation and Involvement Framework and develop the CHSS Peer Support model, supporting the strategic ambition to expand the online and in-person Peer Support Network.

You will have experience of management in the 3rd sector with a health and/or social care focus and ideally you will have experience working with people affected by chest, heart and / or stroke conditions. We are looking for someone with strong leadership and excellent communication and organizational skills. You will be confident in IT and able to work to a high professional standard using own initiative.
