By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as our Participation and Engagement Lead you can be the difference between people just surviving and really living.

You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live life to the full again. Our Hospital to Home services form a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.

The purpose of this role is to lead the successful implementation and ongoing development of the charity’s Engagement & Involvement Strategy by identifying, planning and embedding mechanisms that effectively involve people affected by our conditions in CHSS developments and service design.

The role holder will use the principles of community development and human rights-based approaches to understand the collective needs across all our conditions and enable communities to improve their health and wellbeing leaving a lifelong legacy. The role holder will support, develop, connect, and empower communities to take action on what is important to them.
