Role

Venture Trust works with people experiencing complex life circumstances. Through our work, we provide the opportunity for people to recognise their confidence, motivation and core life skills that they need to make positive changes in their lives.

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Progressions Worker to join our Aberdeen, Dundee and Fife locality team and be based in Fife, working with parents in local greenspaces, delivering a 7-week program with a strong environmental focus. You'll help participants learn about their environment, engage in positive climate action, explore what a Just Transition means for them, develop key employability skills, and become more involved in their local community.

Our Progressions Workers:

  • Build meaningful relationships: Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Understand complex needs: Experience working with people who have lived experience of trauma, the justice system, mental health conditions, addictions, and neurodiversity.
  • Collaborate locally: Develop relationships with community-based partners and stakeholders for effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging content: Provide high-quality, tailored employability content to Venture Trust clients.
  • Innovate in outdoor activities: Design and deliver engaging environmental activities, both in groups and one-on-one, tailored to client needs.
  • Manage referrals: Develop and manage referral networks to ensure efficient recruitment for our programs.
  • Foster partnerships: Maintain strong relationships with delivery and referral partners for seamless service delivery.
  • Provide support: Offer ongoing pastoral support to remove barriers to employment and facilitate employability opportunities.
  • Lead programs: Plan and lead employability programs and progression opportunities for participants.
