Role

Are you passionate about social enterprises and excited about the difference they can make in Stirling’s economic wellbeing? If so, we have a fantastic job opportunity for you!

Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) is the partnership and development agency for the third sector in Stirling. As the local third sector interface we are a membership organisation of locally based charities, social enterprises and volunteer-led community organisations.

We are currently seeking a Development & Engagement Coordinator in Social Enterprise to lead our efforts in helping social enterprises achieve their business and social value goals.

In this role, you will work closely with social enterprises and aspiring social entrepreneurs, understanding their needs and delivering the support they need to grow and build sustainability. This work is a vital part of the Stirling Social Enterprise Strategy Action Plan, a collaborative effort to develop and extend social enterprise across Stirling.

You'll have the unique opportunity to support a diverse range of social enterprises throughout their journey from startup to growth, scaling up, and sustaining their impactful work. Your practical skills and experience in business advising and/or community development will be essential in this role.

Additionally, you will help social enterprises build their networks and voice, playing an instrumental role in facilitating the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network. Your ability to build relationships, balance practical support with strategic insights, and influence local policy and practice will be key in shaping the future of social enterprise in Stirling.

SVE have a generous benefits package including 40 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays and mandatory shut down period over Christmas/ New Year), employee pension scheme with SVE contributing 6% of qualifying salary and enhanced family leave policies. We are a Carer Positive employer and a Disability Confident Employer.

We are enthusiastic about the benefits of flexible working for individuals and the organisation and would consider requests for flexibility within this role that could include alternative working patterns, part-time working and job-share.

If you have the experience outlined in the role profile and a passion for social entrepreneurship, this could be the perfect role for you.

Join us in making a meaningful impact on Stirling’s economic wellbeing through the power of social enterprise.
