Would you like to make a difference to someone’s life?

LCIL is a user-led organisation providing a range of services that enable disabled people to live independently in the community of their choice.

We are currently looking for an Information Officer to join our team. The disability advice and information service provides support to disabled people across Edinburgh and the Lothians on a range of subjects including welfare benefits, income maximisation, accessibility, housing, and a range of other topics of interest to disabled people.

You should enjoy working as part of a small team and have excellent communication skills in order to help our service users. Support includes one-to-one case-work and group-work/workshop delivery.

You should have previous experience of working within a similar environment and be a quick learner.

After initial training in the office environment, this post will be a mix of working from home and our offices in Edinburgh. The post also includes an element of outreach work across the Lothians, in community settings and home-visits to service users.

Successful applicants subject to PVG.
