Role
The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre Perth & Kinross are looking for a highly motivated and committed worker with experience of providing therapeutic support to join our team. This post involves the provision of therapeutic support, information and advocacy services for survivors age 12+ and their family members. Experience of delivering emotional therapeutic, practical support and advocacy services to women and/ young people affected by trauma is essential, alongside experience of assessing and responding to risk in relation to sexual abuse and exploitation. RASAC P&K welcome applications from women of all backgrounds and identities, in particular women of colour and those underrepresented in the workforce. To provide and facilitate confidential emotional, and practical support. Undertaking risk assessments and where required providing crisis intervention. As a Domestic Abuse Practitioner, you will provide a front-line high-quality service to women experiencing or recovering from Domestic Abuse via the Perthshire Women’s Aid support line, and face-to-face in the community.

This post involves managing a small team working to address issues around sexual exploitation, sexualisation and sexual violence. The post holder will oversee and contribute to the development and delivery of sexual violence prevention workshops to young people and adults in the community, alongside the delivery of high quality multi-agency training.
This post requires enthusiasm and creativity with a clear commitment to the value of prevention work in addressing sexual violence. We are looking for someone who can bring strong organisational and inter-personal skills alongside experience in youth work, training delivery and multi-agency working.
Experience in a supervisory / management role is essential as is working within a gendered analysis of Violence Against Women is essential.
