A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within Children 1st, Scotland’s national children’s charity, for a Communications Manager to join an expanded communications and marketing team.

The successful candidate will implement Children 1st’s communications strategy to position the charity as a leading voice in child protection and trauma recovery in Scotland. You will work with the media and other audiences to raise the profile of the charity and promote awareness and understanding of its work. Managing and supporting the communications team, you will work closely with other managers to achieve the strategic objectives of the charity.

If you are an experienced communications professional with a proven track record and at least two years’ experience in a similar role, we want to hear from you.

The post will be a hybrid blend of office based (in Edinburgh) and home-based work. At least 40% of the working week will be based at our office in Whitehouse Lane, Edinburgh.

This is a permanent, full time role of 35 hours per week (slightly reduced hours will be considered).
