Role

Aberlour East Ayrshire Summer Activity Programme

“The summer program has been a lifeline for our family. Not just giving our boys a safe place to have fun but helping them keep a bit of their routine. I know for a fact that they'd be struggling without this program and how much fun they've had while there. I just can't put into words how grateful we are for it.”

About East Ayrshire Summer Activity Programme

Working in partnership with East Ayrshire Council, our summer activities provide support to young people with complex additional support needs during the school holidays.

Our programme will be jam packed with fun activities for the young people to get involved with including the sensory buses, games, arts and crafts, musical activities, and animal visits!

What we are looking for....

We are looking to recruit to our Summer activity programme. Our programme will run up to 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, during July and for a few days during the October holidays. You will work flexible hours as part of a team providing a programme of fun-filled activities and outings. Some previous experience in this area is preferred. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and work hard are essential. To allow us to provide a consistent, quality service it is desirable that applicants commit to working up to 5 days per week during the school holidays for a minimum of 12 hours per week. There will be an opportunity to work additional hours up to full time hours. Days will be given in advance. Mandatory training dates for staff will be arranged before the commencement of the playscheme.

Depending on experience you may be offered the post of Senior Playscheme Worker, which would be paid at the higher hourly rate. Our payscales are reviewed every April.
