Liber8 Lanarkshire is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for the ongoing development and growth of The Beacons. The Beacons is four Recovery focused hubs, one in each of the four localities in South Lanarkshire, working with people who have experienced alcohol/substance issues and are now on their recovery journey. The Beacons provide a range of group work programmes, workshop activities and events suited to locality-based needs and individual Beacons.

One aim of the Beacons is to work together with participants and lived experience volunteers to support their social (re)integration, promoting recovery, resilience, and self-determination. The project is engaged in multi-agency working and establishing pathways with other partners and agencies to facilitate people’s positive engagement with the Beacons and support them to maintain their recovery journey.

This role requires cohesive leadership, inspiring and managing a diverse team across four premises, and ensuring optimal outcomes for participants and volunteers.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential for this role. Candidates should have a solid understanding of project management and be comfortable with using project management tools. • Applicants should hold a relevant professional qualification of at least SCQF level 9 or above.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, non-judgmental and empathetic person to join our team, with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day running of our client services. These comprise: Counselling, Family Mediation, Child Contact and other related forms of Family Support, including Play Therapy.

We are ideally looking for someone with a background in one of these practice areas, or in Mental Health, Social Work or a related profession, including experience of managing a Registered Service. They will be experienced in trauma informed practice, safeguarding and managing people.

This is a new role, based at the Counselling Centre in Kirkwall, which will support our Service Director to ensure the efficient and effective running of all client services, including responsibility for the following areas:

• Delivery Team: Manage and support the client services delivery team, including line management of 6 employed staff and 12 self-employed practitioners; liaise with 9 external clinical supervisors
• Policy and procedure: Ensure client services operate in line with Policies and Practice
• Procedures, including in relation to each of the practice areas (Counselling, Mediation, Child Contact), Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Risk Assessment and Management
• Client liaison and data handling: Responsible for secure handling of all client data and oversight of Client Liaison, including referral pathways and managing workflow
• Finance: day-to-day management of staff-related expenditure and supporting the Service Director with preparation of budgets and reports
• Partnerships: work with key local partners including NHS Community Mental Health, Orkney Islands Council Social Work, NHS Drug & Alcohol Team, and other third sector services to ensure a holistic approach to meeting individual client needs ; represent the organisation at the Relationships Scotland Practice Committees for Counselling, Family Mediation and Child Contact
• Close working with and deputising for the Service Director

We are pleased to be recruiting for the position of Co-ordination and Development Officer to support the delivery of our National Traineeship.

This post will work to ensure that people with lived and living experience of drug and alcohol problems are sufficiently represented in drug and alcohol service delivery through co-ordination of all aspects of a work-based training programme for Trainees.

This involves liaising with a range of delivery partners such as placement providers, employability partners, education providers, and workplace literacy partners, while providing direct support and line management to a group of trainee participants. The role will also support the growth and development of this multi-award-winning traineeship programme.

With support from the Senior Development Officer, the role will also seek to establish multiple entry and employment pathways, in and out of the traineeship, and maintain excellent employment outcomes for participants.

This post is a key part of our Employability Support Team in SDF, with a remit for multiple geographies across Scotland.
