Who are we?

Fife Young Carers (FYC) is dedicated to improving the lives of young carers across Fife, offering vital support to children and young people who have taken on caring responsibilities for family members. Our work spans educational support, mental health services, respite care, and community engagement, ensuring that these young individuals can thrive despite the challenges they face. As FYC continues to grow, we are now seeking a passionate and innovative Fundraising Manager to join our team and deliver on its strategy to securing sustainable funding.

What will you do as Fundraising Manager?

Following a fundraising audit and strategy assessment, you will take the lead in delivering FYC’s fundraising strategy to support its mission and objectives. You will be at the forefront of our efforts to secure financial support for both immediate projects and long-term sustainability, using strategic methods and effective tactics to grow FYC’s income streams.

Collaborating closely with the CEO, you will play a key role in expanding our fundraising efforts, particularly in building corporate partnerships and securing grants from trusts and grants, ensuring FYC remains a leading charity in the community backed by a strong and sustainable financial foundation.

• Corporate Partnerships: Forge and manage meaningful partnerships with businesses, driving corporate sponsorships and Charity of the Year programmes, while developing collaborative skills exchange initiatives.
• Trusts and Grants: Develop compelling multi-year funding applications to trusts and foundations, highlighting FYC’s impact and vision for growth, while proposing innovative programmes to secure new funding.
• Fundraising Campaigns: Lead creative, high-impact fundraising initiatives, including digital campaigns, community-driven crowdfunding, and large-scale events that engage diverse audiences.
• Digital Fundraising: Explore emerging digital tools and platforms to drive donations and position FYC at the forefront of modern fundraising techniques.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic fundraiser with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young carers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing corporate partnerships, winning trust and foundation grants, and delivering successful fundraising strategies.

With strong communication skills, you will be adept at building lasting relationships with key stakeholders and funders, and possess the creativity and strategic thinking required to develop innovative campaigns. You’ll have the organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the drive to meet ambitious income targets.

Edinburgh Young Carers (EYC) is seeking a suitably experienced applicant to join its lively, passionate team in developing the service and providing high quality support to young carers in Edinburgh between the ages of 5 and 25 years.

The post-holder will work alongside colleagues to:

• Ensure that young carers and young adult carers are identified and provided with the supportand services that they require to achieve their identified personal outcomes.
• Promote the development of a range of support services and diverse activity programmes to meet the varied needs of young carers, especially through school and community venues.
• Promote and undertake the delivery and review of Young Carer Statements and Adult Carer Support Plans to young carers and young adult carers themselves and the professionals working with them across Edinburgh.
• Ensure young carers are aware of their rights and promote and raise awareness of these rights with other organisations.
• Enable young carers to be heard, to be listened to and to contribute to the development of the Edinburgh Young Carers service.

The candidate will need to be suitably qualified and experienced in working with children and young people, with at least three years’ proven experience in a role including individual and group work.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of The Carewell Partnership. Health in Mind is a member of the Carewell Partnership together with VOCAL, Milan, LGBT Health and Wellbeing and the Eric Liddell Centre, offering support to carers across Edinburgh.

The Carer Support and Development Worker role is to develop and deliver a range of carer support groups to support the mental health and wellbeing of carers, including a safe listening space for carers and to support carers to access peer support. This work will be done in collaboration with carers as active and equal partners in the development of courses and groups.

You will be offering support to people in a one-to-one setting, offering short-term support to unpaid Carers. You will also be offering group support, including peer spaces, listening spaces and delivering self-management courses to support carers mental health and wellbeing. You will have skills in offering support, as well as managing tasks relating to advertising and promoting the service, managing enquiries and waiting lists, risk assessments and reporting.

The Food and Health Development Officer will join our dynamic team, assisting with one or more of our community development projects within the contracted period to facilitate cooking group sessions, deliver educational activities and promote positive public health messages around nutrition and diet to adults and children. Please note that this post is a fixed-term contract

Edinburgh Community Food is a dynamic organisation, dedicated to supporting the people of Edinburgh to improve their health and wellbeing through nourishing food and wrap-around support. We deliver multiple food and health-based community development initiatives around the city, including working with the City of Edinburgh Council to deliver food and health sessions for families during school holidays.

The Food & Health Development Officer will assist with our community development projects within the contracted period to facilitate cooking group sessions, deliver educational activities and promote positive public health messages around nutrition and diet to adults and children. The post holder will work with volunteers, advance additional community partnerships and use social media platforms to promote the work of Edinburgh Community Food.
