About the role:
Responsible for administration and support within the finance department to help ensure the smooth running of the
charity’s financial systems, records and procedures.
I deliver accurate, efficient, and high quality financial and payroll administration in accordance with procedures,
legal requirements and best practice.
Provides a point of contact for suppliers to the organisation and processes invoices and requests.
Supports the payroll process.
Responds to routine enquiries from staff and stakeholders and support them with using systems and processes as
necessary. I do data entry and verification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with supplier input, payments, invoice approval and reconciliation as required for the organisation –
process expenses, invoices and other payments in Accounts IQ for payment in a timely and accurate manner and
code to the appropriate cost heading
- Support the finance team colleagues in providing information to
other parties as appropriate e.g. budget holding colleagues, fundraising colleagues or external
auditors.
- Address enquires from staff around benefits, payroll, holidays and pensions and
suppliers
- Support HR with staff onboardings as necessary and ensuring that HR systems and Finance
systems match to ensure accurate payroll information is sent to the payroll provider
- Support to ensure
that all financial records are up to date, accurate and complete.
Essential Criteria:
- A relevant finance or administration qualification relevant for this post or QBE
- Experience in a similar
role, ideally working across all aspects of finance or administration
- Experience of working for
Charity
- Understanding of accounting systems and experience of working with them
- Skilled IT user
with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good with numbers and comfortable working with
them
- An eye for detail
- Ability to use own initiative
- Demonstrates excellent
interpersonal skills and can listen to others and communicate clearly and concisely

General Duties
- Act in accordance with Data Protection legislation. Ensure all records, personal, staff and client data are
managed in line with Data Management and Information Governance policies
- Comply with legal and
regulatory requirements such as provisions set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- As with all
employees, workers and volunteers; to encourage people to join Change Mental Health as a member, donor or
activist
- To act in accordance with the charity’s Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies and to
notify the line manager promptly if there are any concerns
- To participate in regular supervision and
appraisal and undertake any relevant training as appropriate to the role
- To work in accordance with the
charity’s national policies and local operating procedures and those of external regulators or professional
bodies.
