We currently have vacancies for reliable and enthusiastic people who can commit to our core values of equality, inclusion and recovery. Our Learning and Development Programme guarantees continuous training opportunities to ensure you have the skills and knowledge required for your role and to meet SSSC registration requirements.
About The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Project Worker to coordinate recovery-focused group activities within our city-wide GAMH Community Recovery Service, supporting adults experiencing or recovering from mental health challenges. Working with colleagues, service users, carers and partners, you will plan and deliver groups, workshops and community opportunities that promote participation, co-production and peer support. You will create safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces where people can build confidence and skills, improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and develop supportive relationships.
Applicants require a qualification at SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification, is essential.
As these services are registered with the Care Inspectorate, you will be required to pay an annual fee to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) to maintain your registration.
In return GAMH offers an attractive salary, excellent terms and conditions and a fantastic package of additional benefits. The successful candidates will also benefit from a full supportive induction programme as well as a comprehensive and effective learning and development programme.
GAMH aims to promote equality of opportunity in service delivery as well as in employment practice. To achieve this, we positively welcome applications from all sections of the community. Accordingly, if you have any particular requirements regarding your application, please contact Laura Middell, Central Resources Director, on 0141 552 5592.
These posts are regulated roles with children and protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, as amended by the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Successful candidates will be required to hold PVG Scheme membership for both the children’s and protected adults’ workforces and complete the appropriate PVG disclosure process through Disclosure Scotland. Any offer of employment with Glasgow Association for Mental Health (GAMH) will be conditional upon confirmation of the required PVG Scheme membership and receipt of a satisfactory PVG disclosure.
