Join the Scottish Recovery Consortium and Help Shape Recovery Across Scotland

Are you a passionate leader who believes in the power of communities, lived experience and recovery to transform lives?

We’re looking for a Community Recovery Lead to join our team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Scottish Recovery Consortium (SRC), Scotland's national recovery organisation, at a time of growth and opportunity.

Recovery is about far more than overcoming challenges. It is about hope, connection, belonging and creating opportunities for people, families and communities to flourish. At SRC, we work alongside people with lived and living experience to influence policy, strengthen communities, develop organisations and champion recovery as a force for positive social change.

What you will do

As our Community Recovery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving this vision forward.

The Community Recovery Lead will provide strategic leadership and operational management to support the development of recovery-oriented communities across Scotland. The post holder will lead a team of staff and work collaboratively with people with lived and living experience, recovery communities, families, local and national partners, and statutory and third sector organisations to strengthen recovery pathways and create opportunities for individuals to thrive.

The role focuses on:

· Providing day-to-day line management, support and supervision to the Communities Team, including regular supervision, appraisal and development planning

· Providing strategic leadership for the development and growth of recovery communities and recovery-oriented initiatives across Scotland

· Developing, implementing and evaluating community-based recovery initiatives that promote inclusion, participation, wellbeing and long-term recovery

· Ensuring that lived and living experience remains central to all aspects of planning, delivery and decision-making

· Supporting recovery communities and lived experience recovery organisations to play a meaningful role in local and national developments

What you will bring

· A skilled, dynamic and motivated leader who can connect people, influence systems, support innovation and create the conditions for recovery communities, families and individuals to flourish

· Experience of working in a charity, community or health organisation

· Experience of managing staff

· Experience contributing to service development or system change
