Role
We are a small charity doing big things in Glasgow. The Glasgow Care Foundation has been providing a helping hand to families and individuals in Glasgow for more than 150 years.
Our aim is to alleviate poverty and improve quality of life people in Glasgow. We offer practical assistance to people in need, fund local community projects and administer pensions and grants for a range of trusts with mutual aims. Our small staff team work remotely, and our Board of Trustees are actively involved in delivering our mission.
Due to upcoming staff retirement, and a desire to expand our impact, we are recruiting a dynamic Fundraising and Partnerships Manager. This post holder will play a key role in delivering our ambition to positively impact 100,000 lives over the next 10 years.
This role would suit a candidate who possesses strong business development and fundraising experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, a strong work ethic and a high level of self-accountability.
Whilst most of this role will be based remotely, regular travel in and around the Glasgow area will be required to support stakeholder engagement and business development activities (such as meetings and events).

We are looking for a Partnerships Manager based in East or South East Scotland, someone who wants to help build our programme across these regions. You’ll join a friendly, supportive and values-driven team, working with employers, public sector organisations and communities to create life-changing opportunities for young people through mentoring.
About the role
This is a unique opportunity to help shape MCR Pathways’ growth. As Partnerships Manager, you’ll build relationships with employers, public sector organisations and community partners that create sustainable pipelines of volunteer mentors and wider organisational support.
You’ll enjoy a varied and autonomous role, combining business development, relationship management and regional partnership building. Working flexibly between home, partner locations and communities across the East & South East of Scotland, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how mentoring grows across the region while being supported by an experienced national team committed to achieving lasting impact for young people.
Key responsibilities
- Research, map, and secure new corporate, public sector, and SME partners whose CSR, ESG, and D&I pillars align with MCR Pathways’ mission.
- Deliver compelling pitches, proposals, and workplace engagement events to drive high-volume mentor recruitment and hit ambitious monthly regional targets.
- Serve as the primary account manager for regional partners, delivering exceptional service to nurture long-term commitment and turn partners into active champions of the program.
- Collaborate with the Communications team and local networks to execute place-based campaigns and social media drives that raise brand visibility and generate prospective mentor inquiries in priority areas.
- Work closely with cross-functional internal teams to optimise the conversion process, guiding prospective mentors seamlessly from initial inquiry through to active onboarding.
- Utilise CRM systems and dashboards to track pipeline activity, evaluate campaign ROI, and monitor key recruitment and retention metrics.
About you
- Experience of and expertise in relationship-building on an organisational and individual level
- Experience presenting compelling and emotionally engaging information sessions to stakeholder organisations and individuals
- Experience and understanding of the importance of recruiting a diverse range of volunteers
- Can-do, proactive, flexible, solution-focused attitude
- Belief in young people’s potential, modelling motivation, commitment and resilience
- Knowledge of East and South East Scotland, including community groups and organisations

Our services in Glasgow, managed from our locality office in Govan, Glasgow, are looking for a long-term Operations Manager. This role would suit an experienced, values-oriented, person-centred social care professional. With a desire to lead teams working to support adults and young people, you will be familiar with the complex challenges that people can face, whether that is a young person experiencing distress, a person experiencing housing issues, or someone having their first experience of psychosis.

Dumfries and Galloway Programme Manager

We are delighted to be launching our mentoring programme in Dumfries and Galloway and are looking for a Programme Manager. This is a unique opportunity to be involved right from the beginning – launching and implementing MCR Pathways’ Mentoring Programme across secondary schools and college campuses.
About the role
You must be based in Dumfries and Galloway and will manage all aspects of the MCR Pathways programme delivery, actively engaging with participating schools, colleges, the local authority and key partners including Skills Development Scotland and Developing the Young Workforce.
In this role, you will empower your regional team to drive substantive, positive change for young people by supporting and challenging appointed delivery leads to build a vibrant, impactful mentoring programme. Additionally, you will lead mentor recruitment, training, and support initiatives to guarantee every young person has access to a dedicated mentor, while managing your local Mentor Services Coordinator to align the mentor pipeline perfectly with the local need.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead on and manage all aspects of programme delivery
- Provide support, development, training, management and motivation to MCR staff and delivery leads
- Support integration of the programme and a consistently high quality standard of programme delivery across all settings
- Develop and support partnerships with the Local Councils, further and higher education institutions, local business and all MCR stakeholders
- Provide analysis of programme performance, impact and development
About you
- Experience of developing and effectively managing teams and programmes
- Self-motivated and skilled at motivating others
- Experience of or strong interest in working or volunteering in the third sector
- Experience of working within or in collaboration with secondary schools and or further education
