Role

The College seeks to appoint a Museum Cataloguer to catalogue museum object collections to agreed professional standards onto the College’s online catalogue CALM. The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate in museum studies, experience of cataloguing museum collections and an interest in the history of medicine.

  • This role will focus on producing accurate catalogue records.
  • The role will also be responsible for updating cataloguing guidelines where appropriate.

Person Specification

  • Experience working with museum collections.
  • In-depth knowledge of museum cataloguing standards.
  • Postgraduate qualification in museum studies.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to talk to, listen to, understand and influence multiple stakeholders, within the College community and externally.
  • Methodical and organised with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to set and achieve targets.
  • Ability to work independently, managing own workload, prioritising and organising time effectively.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Remuneration Package

The salary for this role will be £34,384 FTE per annum plus benefits. Additional benefits include:
