About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will support our Service Manager in managing our vibrant Day Centre and Community Outreach teams in Perth. If you’re passionate about supporting adults with complex disabilities and you want every day at work to truly make a difference, this is the role for you.

You will lead our support teams to provide care and support to disabled adults in our purpose-built day hub and within their own homes, residential spaces and communities.

As an experienced social care Team Leader, you will ensure that our people continue to receive the exceptional, person-centred support we provide by being responsible for:

• Rota management
• Staff management, supervision, recruitment, and development
• Managing supported persons activities
• Health and Safety
• Compiling and checking Care and Support plans for people we support
• Management of medicines procedures
• Financial management for people we support
• Liaising with families, health and care professionals and social workers
• Regular on-call support – shared between existing group of Team Leaders – Across our Upper Springland Services.

What you need to know

Hours – 37 hours per week

Example Shifts - Monday – Friday: 7.5 hours, (8.30am or 9am – 4.30pm or 5pm)

On-call Support – 7 days out of 28 including evenings and weekends

Experience/qualifications/key skills required

Experience of leading a team within a social care environment is essential, as is a willingness to take on any personal development opportunities. You should have a care related SVQ Level 4, or the willingness to gain this qualification in a given timescale. You should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. Driving Licence preferred due to the travel requirements of the role.

As RNID Near You Coordinator for Lanarkshire, you will lead the development and delivery of the RNID Near You community service across the NHS Lanarkshire region, supporting local communities through drop‑in sessions offering:

• Practical hearing aid support
• Information on hearing loss and tinnitus
• Hearing checks

You will be responsible for co-ordinating around 20 drop-in services and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of around 30 volunteers to deliver the service across your area. You will have responsibility for the set up and running of these clinics and have good local knowledge of your area in order to seek new opportunities for delivery of our RNID Near you services.

We are looking to appoint a motivated person with a keen interest in supporting people with their hearing loss. While you will be home based, there will be some travel to venues where we will provide drop-in clinics in community settings.

You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/ weekends if required. You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.

You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.

SNAP is looking for an experienced, compassionate and enthusiastic Service Manager to help lead our services and support our team through the next stage of SNAP’s development.

This is a senior role – but we’re not looking for someone who wants to lead from behind a desk.

We’re looking for someone who wants to understand our services, know our staff, meet our families and see first-hand the difference SNAP makes.

About the role

This is an important role at the heart of SNAP. Our Service Manager leads the day-to-day delivery of our services, supports and develops our operational team, and helps make sure that every service is safe, well organised, person-centred and responsive to the people and families who rely on us.

SNAP is registered with the Care Inspectorate as a support service (not care at home). The successful candidate will take on the responsibilities of Registered Manager for this service, working closely with the Care Inspectorate and meeting relevant SSSC requirements. You will be part of SNAP’s leadership team and will work directly with the Chief Officer to support service quality, workforce development and future growth.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading and supporting staff and volunteers across SNAP’s services.

• Overseeing safe, high-quality service delivery and ensuring individual needs, risk assessments and support plans are understood and followed.

• Maintaining strong safeguarding, regulatory, health and safety and quality assurance standards.

• Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, training and staff development.

• Building positive relationships with children, young people, adults, families, carers and professionals.

• Overseeing referrals, reviews, incidents, complaints and service improvement actions.

• Working with the Chief Officer and wider team to develop services, plan staffing and manage resources responsibly.

• Undertake the responsibilities of Registered Manager for our regulated services.

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to come from one particular type of organisation.

You might currently work in social care, children’s services, disability services, community support or another related field.

What we really want is someone who combines experience and professional confidence with compassion and common sense.

You’ll be someone who can make difficult decisions when needed, but who also listens.

Someone who understands regulation and quality, without losing sight of the individual person behind the paperwork.

And someone who believes that supporting and developing a team is every bit as important as directing one.

Experience of leading regulated care or support services would be particularly valuable.

You will need to hold, or be able to meet, the appropriate qualification and registration requirements for the Registered Manager role. We are happy to discuss supporting the right candidate to complete an additional qualification where appropriate.

• Experience of supervising, motivating and developing staff.

Where you’ll work

The role will be based across SNAP’s offices at Drummond School and Seafield Road, Inverness.

Following an initial 12-week period, there may be some flexibility for home working where this suits the needs of the role and the organisation.

You will design and deliver engaging training online and in person, and provide consultancy on neuroinclusion in the workplace and in designing services for customers and service users. The focus is practical change: what an organisation does differently as a result, rather than awareness raising alone. You will also develop the offer, write proposals, lead corporate engagement, use our CRM to manage the pipeline, and implement monitoring and evaluation so we can show the difference the service makes.

You will bring a strong understanding of neurodivergence, neurodevelopmental conditions, and the neurodiversity movement; substantial experience designing and delivering training; and experience developing or growing a service.

This is a management role in a growing department with a busy and varied workload, so you will be comfortable working independently and shaping the service as it grows.

The role is hybrid, combining home working, attendance at our Edinburgh office and travel to deliver training and consultancy in person. Occasional evening work and overnight stays may be required.
