Role
Prospects Across Scotland prospectsacrossscotland.org.uk is a small Christian charity (SC048143) established in 2018, with a big heart for supporting full inclusion of adults with learning disabilities and autism in all aspects of church life. We are looking for someone to help build our fundraising so we can continue to spread this important work throughout Scotland.
You will have a track record of success in applying for general and restricted grant funds, and will be able to supply referees. It would be important to have an understanding of our ethos and the focus of the charity specifically on inclusion in church life and for spiritual needs as this impacts the type of trusts you could apply to for funding. You will find our website useful to get an understanding of what we do.
The job involves working from home and reporting regularly to trustees, and may suit someone retired or working part time. Familiarity with Charity Suite and Xero would be helpful.
We currently have one part-time employee.

We have one sessional work opportunity available to deliver our East Lothian Community Matters: From Awareness to Action project. The role is focused on supporting up to 8 learners to undertake flexible qualifications (Community Action and Leadership or Adult Achievement Awards) that recognise real-world learning gained through volunteering, community involvement, employment and personal development. Support combines welcoming small-group sessions with tailored one-to-one guidance, helping everyone participate and progress. Our goal is for every learner to achieve at least one accredited unit, strengthening the pathway towards further learning, volunteering or employment. The time commitment in hours per week will be agreed by negotiation flexibly worked up to 31st March 2027.
The work is in person working in a peripatetic way using local community venues and learner’s own homes to deliver learning.
It is regulated work for which a satisfactory PVG will be required.
About you:
You will be passionate about the transformative power of confidence building, digital skills, digital confidence, employability, and adult learning. You will be confident in communicating one-to-one and with groups and have a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.
You will be enthusiastic with good organisational skills and have previous experience of supporting people experiencing a range of barriers to enhance and improve their skills and accredited results profiles. You will be capable of working one-to-one with learners, and of tailoring and delivering learning programmes. The role involves travelling throughout the local authority area to meet one to one and group learner demand.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

Essential qualifications and experience
- Relevant occupational health and safety qualification, such as a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (SCQF Level 10).
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in a health and safety advisory, assurance, compliance or risk management role.
- Experience of audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
- Ability to interpret legislation and translate complex requirements into clear, practical guidance.

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join us on a part-time job-share basis, working 23 hours per week from Wednesday to Friday. This is a hybrid role, with Wednesday as your office-based day, working from one of our offices in Glasgow, Dundee or Aberdeen, with the remaining hours worked from home.
