Argyll and Bute Citizens Advice Bureau, is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to people across Argyll and Bute.
The Bureau provides a comprehensive advice and information service throughout Argyll & Bute from its offices in Lochgilphead and Helensburgh and by outreach to Campbeltown, Dunoon and Oban localities.
The Debt / Money Adviser will take responsibility for the quality of advice and standard of service provided by the bureau in money advice (debt) cases with a particular focus on those at risk of losing their homes through eviction or repossession. Providing specialist support on all areas of free debt management, statutory and sustainable solutions and lay representation within court and pre-court advice provision.
Travel will be essential to the post and expenses are reimbursed for travel related to approved duties. No overtime payments are made, but time off in lieu is given.

Team working is essential and the post-holder must be able to assist colleagues with possibly competing demands.
Applicants should also demonstrate sound oral and written communication skills, be well organised and be proficient in using a range of IT tools to carry out their work, including case recording systems, Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel.
Committed, results-driven and supportive to the needs of others, the successful applicant will be able to work both on their own initiative as well as part of a team and must be willing to follow and develop agreed procedures.
