Glasgow North East Carers Centre has been providing practical and emotional support to unpaid family carers for over 30 years, including Young Carers and their families. Our work helps carers feel supported, connected and empowered, enabling them to continue their vital role within our communities.

We are currently seeking new members to join our Board of Directors and help guide the future direction of the organisation. We are particularly keen to strengthen the Board with individuals who can contribute expertise in fundraising, financial management and income generation

As a Board Director, you will play an important role in setting our strategic priorities, ensuring good governance, and providing oversight and guidance on organisational policies and performance. Working alongside fellow Board members, you will help ensure the Centre remains sustainable, effective and responsive to the needs of unpaid carers.

Our current Board brings together a diverse range of skills, perspectives and experience from across the public, private, third sectors and those with direct experience of caring.

While previous Board experience is welcome, it is not essential. We are looking for people who share our commitment to supporting unpaid carers and who can bring enthusiasm, insight and professional experience to our work.

This is a voluntary but highly rewarding role, offering the opportunity to:

Board Meetings are every in person every 6 weeks at our premises in North East Glasgow. A full induction and ongoing support will be provided.

Terms of appointment: Initial 3-year term, with potential for second 3-year term.

Time commitment:

• 3 Scotland Advisory Board meetings per year (online)
• 1 in-person planning session annually in Scotland
• Optional additional engagement as appropriate (events, consultations)

Renumeration: Reasonable expenses reimbursed, including travel and replacement care costs

This role will play a key part in advancing Carers Trust Scotland's work to improve the lives of unpaid carers across Scotland. Working as part of the Scotland team, the postholder will support communications, engagement and influencing activity, helping to raise awareness of carers' experiences and the support available to them.

Through collaboration with colleagues, member organisations and external partners, the role will contribute to the delivery of campaigns, programmes and communications that amplify carers' voices, promote good practice and support positive change. By helping to strengthen relationships across the sector and increase understanding of carers' needs, the postholder will contribute to better outcomes for unpaid carers and the organisations that support them.

Shared Care Scotland is a small team with big ambition: we aim to be the lead organisation in Scotland on all aspects of short breaks policy and practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Operations Assistant to fulfil an important organisation-wide role in providing efficient, accurate and responsive administrative support that helps colleagues, Board members, partners and enquirers work effectively.

If you have skills and experience in delivering administrative and operational support to a busy and diverse team, are self-motivated and keen to develop your knowledge of the health and social care sector then we’d love to hear from you.

Carers of West Dunbartonshire is an innovative and value-based charity, which supports those who look after a family member or friend due to illness, disability, frailty or addiction. Funded by The Robertson Trust, the organisation is seeking to recruit a Carer Support Worker (supporting those with multiple caring roles).

As Carer Support Worker, you will provide support and advice to those who are caring for a relative or friend and have multiple caring responsibilities. You will be a highly motivated individual who ideally has experience in Community Care and a good understanding of the issues relating to unpaid carers, particularly those who are looking after more than one person.
