Launched in 2007, Pet Blood Bank UK is the only charity that provides a blood bank service for all vets across the UK. What you’ll do

  • Provide cross-departmental leadership and support.
  • Attend Senior Management meetings across PBB locations.
  • Build a strong understanding of daily operations across the charity.
  • Develop and deliver HR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Review and improve HR policies and procedures.
  • Analyse HR data to support informed decision-making.
  • Lead full recruitment lifecycle for all roles.
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure new staff feel welcomed, informed, and supported.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and caring culture across the organisation.
  • Implement effective performance systems.
  • Support managers with goal setting, feedback delivery, and staff development.
  • Identify organisational training needs and develop relevant programmes.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK employment law and charity-related regulations (VMD, OSCR, HMRC, Home Office).
  • Maintain accurate, confidential HR records and lead on audits.
  • Manage employee benefits and pensions.

What we need

This is a hands-on role in a small team, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and the opportunity to genuinely influence organisational growth and staff wellbeing.

Essential:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a small, fast-paced team with integrity and professionalism.

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualification or membership.
  • Postgraduate HR qualification.
  • Experience in the charity or third-sector environment.

The YMCA-YWCA offers a full weekly programme of activities – youth work, adult learning, family learning and has its own youth café facility. The YMCA-YWCA is a member of the YMCA international young people’s movement, which has adopted its Vision 2030. This Vision is underpinned by the key pillars of Community Wellbeing, Just Work, Meaningful Work and Sustainable Planet.

This post focuses on the development of local initiatives under the ‘Sustainable Planet’ theme. The post holder will be part of a Scotland wide project, where 8 local YMCAs will employ staff to deliver community-based climate action initiatives with children, young people, adults and families. The project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and commences in early 2026.

As the Development Worker, you will be employed by the YMCA-YWCA Cupar and based at their headquarters at Marathon House, Bonnygate, Cupar. This is a part-time post of 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours during daytime, evenings and some weekends. The post will end 30th June 2028.

You will work within a small team of staff and volunteers. Whilst there will be a real community focus for this post, you will have opportunities to develop young people and community led activities at the YMCA-YWCA and at its outreach project, at Cupar Youth Café at Castlehill.

The Business Support Team plays a vital role in enabling the Scottish Information Commissioner to fulfil their duties by ensuring the organisation operates effectively and efficiently. The team is responsible for the full range of corporate functions, including governance, finance, information management, risk, health and safety, human resources, procurement, contracts, and IT.

The Business Support Team consists of five members and is led by the Head of Business Support who has overall responsibility. The team includes two Business Support Managers, who provide operational oversight and guidance, and two Business Support Administrative Officers, who deliver day to day operational and administrative support

The role is primarily responsible for ensuring efficient operational support for the finance and procurement function, including payroll, contracts, purchase to pay processes, workforce planning, records management, audit and reporting. The role will involve maintaining accurate records, contributing to the preparation of reports, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. Working proactively and using initiative, the post holder will contribute to proactive forecasting and strategic planning in collaboration with the Business Support Manager. This role will also contribute to the smooth running of the day-to-day activities of the wider Business Support Team, providing cover across other areas when required and supporting organisational projects aimed at improving systems, processes, and efficiency.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in providing administrative support in a finance, procurement, payroll, or contracts environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in processing purchase to pay transactions such as managing supplier payments.

  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

We are looking for a Young People’s Worker (30 hours per week) to become part of our Aberlour family. Every child and young person has the right to flourish, and they are at the heart of everything we do. As a Young People’s Worker, you will play a fundamental role in ensuring that our young people are supported to live their best lives. Not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role. You will provide enabling support to ensure the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care to support our young people with different daily activities. These activities can include swimming, football, arts and crafts and other interests. Each of our young people has a personalised plan to help them achieve their goals.

Working at Options (Residential) Fife, you will become part of a highly skilled, experienced, and established team. You will have a supported induction programme, with access to an extensive training programme which includes Epilepsy training, Moving and Handling training (including specialised training to assist supported people with movement) and CALM training.

Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, an understanding of complex needs and disability and relevant experience of working with children or young people. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above, for example: SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) plus an HNC. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to young people’s rights.

Hours will be worked over the residential rota and will include dayshift, backshift, weekends, and public holidays. Every worker has one long weekend in three off.

We are looking to recruit two Young People’s Workers, to work 25.27 and another for 24 hours per week on a rolling residential rota including evenings and weekends. The roles cover outreach and short break services. Hours are annualised as the outreach service is open 50 weeks per year and short breaks is open all year round. It is expected you will work 33 hours one week and 18 hours the next week for the 25.27 hour post. And 30 hours one week and 18 hours the next week for the 24 hour post. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring that the young people you work with have the best possible experience in working towards their objectives in line with their care plan, supporting children to progress within their individual outcomes. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role, where the work we do has a demonstrable impact on each young person's progress. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care. We support young people who have epilepsy, need personal care and need gastrostomy feeding. Aberlour, in conjunction with NHS, provides all staff with training.

We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with young people with disabilities. It is desired but not essential that candidates hold a relevant qualification at an SCQF level 7 or above. ROLE

The post is based at our head office in Crosshill, and the postholder will be a key member of the Senior Management Team playing a vital role in supporting our mission by ensuring sound financial management and accountability. They will work closely with the Managing Director to oversee BRAG’s financial health, ensuring effective financial planning, management, and reporting.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

Manage and maintain the charities’ financial and accounting functions, including close liaison with our external stakeholders, including accountants, auditors, HMRC, and our property tenants.

Carry out all bookkeeping and financial administration functions using Xero.

Produce accurate monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, ad-hoc reports, and prepare year-end financial accounts.

ABOUT YOU

You will understand the need for confidentiality and discretion in a sensitive role and be a known self-starter that has a can-do attitude with values that match our own.

You will have a good grasp of charity accounting rules as well as dealing with partial VAT exemption regulations both of which are specific to this post.

Climate Wisdom Development Worker

STAND is a Fife charity which exists to provide peer support to people who are living with a diagnosis of dementia and their families and friends, also to support people to live well with dementia taking an asset-based approach, valuing and building on members skills and experiences. Climate Wisdom is a dementia friendly climate action project that will support people living with dementia, their care partners and their communities to feel inspired, empowered and confident to take positive, practical action on climate change. Climate Wisdom is a partnership project led by Outside the Box, a community development charity. The project will work in partnership with STAND to support the delivery of the project in Fife.
