About the Role
We’re seeking a Justice Worker to join a new Scottish Government-funded Bail Support pilot programme. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and deliver a new service that aims to improve outcomes for people involved in the justice system while contributing to safe and stronger communities across Scotland.
Working with people assessed by Justice Social Work as suitable for supervised bail, but who have instead been granted bail without supervision, you will provide practical, person-centred support to help them understand and comply with their bail conditions.
You will work collaboratively with Justice Social Work and a range of partner agencies to help individuals access the services and support they need to improve their wellbeing and deliver positive longer-term changes.
As part of an overall 18-month pilot, the successful candidate will join the service in October for an initial 15 months, with referrals expected to commence in November. While funding is currently in place for the pilot period, there is potential for the service to continue beyond this timeframe.
