Our Activity Centres provide innovative and person-centred services and support to veterans struggling with sight loss. This job exists in order to provide tailored support to veterans carrying out woodworking projects. You will work alongside the veterans to identify abilities, share ideas and plan projects within the activity Centre. You will ensure that the support provided is person-centred, tailored to their needs and is the right support for them. You will support the leadership team to coordinate and manage the activities provided within and from the Activity Centre which will support the overall wellbeing of the veterans and their families. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and external stakeholders to ensure that veterans can access the relevant support.

What you’ll do

You will be joining an ambitious team of fundraisers and communicators, passionate about our cause, and about to embark on a journey to grow our fundraised income and engagement.

As National Fundraising Growth Manager, you will provide dedicated growth capability across Alzheimer Scotland’s national fundraising portfolio. Working across established products such as Tea & Blether, Memory Walk, Shooting Stars and other participation fundraising initiatives, you will identify where growth can be achieved and help shape the plans, partnerships and routes to market that make it possible.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues in Fundraising, Communications, Corporate Fundraising, Community Fundraising and Localities, using data, insight and market awareness to reach new audiences, increase participation, build strategic partnerships and support sustainable unrestricted income growth.

What you’ll have

You will bring experience of growing participation, supporter acquisition or customer acquisition, and of delivering measurable commercial or income growth. You will be commercially minded, curious and confident building relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, with strong analytical skills and the ability to use insight and data to identify growth opportunities.

You will also have excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills, experience managing projects and budgets, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams without direct line management responsibility. You will understand how audience growth, acquisition and insight can shape effective promotional activity, while working with communications colleagues rather than owning every delivery channel.

About Socialudo

Socialudo is a small social enterprise dedicated to helping organisations and communities achieve positive change through using serious games. Co-founded by Professor Vikki McCall and Professor Alasdair Rutherford, Socialudo specialises in the design, delivery and evaluation of serious games to support learning, reflection and systems change across complex social issues including health, housing and inequality. Purpose of the Role

The Project Coordinator will manage and work with our partner, Socialudo, to co-deliver our Prostate Matters project which is funded by Macmillan Care Grant. The Prostate Matters project will co-produce, co-develop and deliver an innovative serious game to improve equity, cultural responsiveness and shared decision-making in prostate cancer care. Prostate cancer remains one of the most common yet least understood cancers particularly for men from underserved communities. The creation of the game aims to understand barriers such as stigma, culture, race, place and access to services which means some men delay seeking help and struggle to navigate prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment. The Project Coordinator will work with the Socialudo team to establish an Advisory Group and organise and coordinate a conference and a range of four regional co-production workshops across Scotland. These events will bring together men affected by prostate cancer (including from black and minority ethnic communities and those less likely to engage with testing) to work alongside professionals to shape realistic pathways from information-seeking, diagnosis, treatment choice to post diagnostic support.

We are seeking a Heat Network Development Coordinator to support a community-led heat network in Craigmillar and Portobello.

This role focuses on business development, finance, governance, policy, and commercial strategy, working alongside a Project Coordinator leading engagement and delivery.

You will help develop business models, funding and investment strategies, governance structures, and partnerships to deliver a low-carbon heat network that supports decarbonisation, energy resilience, and community wealth building.

We welcome applicants with experience in business planning, finance, or organisational development, and strong skills in working with stakeholders, funders, and technical information. Knowledge of energy systems or community-led development is desirable.
