About the Role

Far more than a traditional HR role, this position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and delivery. Reporting to the CEO, you'll work in partnership with senior leaders to develop HR priorities that support organisational growth, while leading the implementation of initiatives, policies and processes that bring those priorities to life. Combining strategic input with hands-on operational support, you'll work alongside managers to navigate day-to-day people challenges, improve employee experience, and ensure our workforce has the support, skills and leadership needed to succeed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading recruitment and workforce planning initiatives to attract high-quality talent
• Designing and delivering effective onboarding processes that set staff up for success
• Supporting managers with employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes
• Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and best practice
• Driving employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
• Supporting the delivery of a culture of continuous learning and professional development
• Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and sector-specific regulatory requirements
• Producing workforce data and reports to support informed decision-making and organisational planning
• Identifying trends in turnover, absence and workforce performance and developing proactive solutions
• Supporting organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You are an experienced HR professional who combines strong technical expertise with a genuine passion for people.

You enjoy building positive relationships, supporting managers to succeed, and creating practical HR solutions that help organisations thrive.

You will bring:

• CIPD membership or equivalent qualification and experience
• Demonstrable and extensive HR experience in a generalist role
• Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice
• Experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance management and absence management
• The ability to influence, coach and support managers with confidence
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and report-writing skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive, solution-focused and collaborative approach
• Experience within the third sector, social care or a regulated environment is desirable but not essential.

What You’ll Do

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Personal Assistants.
• Conduct regular supervisions, observations and performance reviews.
• Assist with the induction of new staff.
• Support attendance, absence and staff wellbeing.
• Promote positive communication and effective team working.

Service Delivery

• Ensure people we support receive high-quality, person-centred support.
• Support staff to promote choice, independence, dignity and inclusion.
• Participate in assessments, support planning, reviews and risk assessments.
• Carry out quality assurance checks, including spot checks and feedback.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and escalate issues appropriately.
• Provide direct support and shift cover where required.

Rostering and Administration

• Prepare and maintain staff rotas to ensure safe and effective staffing.
• Keep accurate records using electronic systems.
• Maintain confidential records in line with GDPR requirements.
• Partnership Working
• Build strong relationships with families, health professionals and external agencies.
• Attend meetings and reviews with the people we support and key stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with the Service Manager to continuously improve services.

On-Call and Flexibility

• Participate in the on-call rota which can include evenings and weekends.
• Travel to services across North Lanarkshire as required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be an organised and compassionate leader with a strong commitment to delivering excellent support.

• Experience working with adults and children with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and physical support needs.
• Experience in using person centred planning techniques in addition to delivering and leading excellent support practices.
• Strong facilitation skills to encourage staff teams to take ownership and responsibility for the quality of support they deliver.
• The ability to effectively communicate with the people we support, staff teams, families and external care professionals.
• Creating and delivering robust service designs, support strategies and risk assessments whilst managing individual budgets.
• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Good ICT skills with experience using rostering or care management software.
• Ability to work flexibly, including participation in an on-call rota.
• Knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use

Our Activity Centres provide innovative and person-centred services and support to veterans struggling with sight loss. This job exists in order to provide tailored support to veterans carrying out woodworking projects. You will work alongside the veterans to identify abilities, share ideas and plan projects within the activity Centre. You will ensure that the support provided is person-centred, tailored to their needs and is the right support for them. About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will support our Service Manager in managing our vibrant Day Centre and Community Outreach teams in Perth. You will lead our support teams to provide care and support to disabled adults in our purpose-built day hub and within their own homes, residential spaces and communities.

Our Upper Springland Campus offers amazing facilities, including sensory spaces, craft and kitchen areas, hydrotherapy pool, rebound therapy, and an accessible gym all designed to promote independence, creativity, and wellbeing.

As an experienced social care Team Leader, you will ensure that our people continue to receive the exceptional, person-centred support we provide by being responsible for:

• Rota management
• Staff management, supervision, recruitment, and development
• Managing supported persons activities
• Health and Safety
• Compiling and checking Care and Support plans for people we support
• Management of medicines procedures
• Financial management for people we support
• Liaising with families, health and care professionals and social workers
• Regular on-call support – shared between existing group of Team Leaders – Across our Upper Springland Services.

What you need to know

Hours – 37 hours per week

Example Shifts - Monday – Friday: 7.5 hours, (8.30am or 9am – 4.30pm or 5pm)

Experience/qualifications/key skills required

Experience of leading a team within a social care environment is essential, as is a willingness to take on any personal development opportunities. You should have a care related SVQ Level 4, or the willingness to gain this qualification in a given timescale. You should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. Driving Licence preferred due to the travel requirements of the role.
